Three West Midlands women's rugby teams are preparing for fixtures in a newly-established elite competition this weekend.
It's hoped Women's Super Rugby will help double female participation in the sport.
The Rugby Football Union will make a multi-million pound investment in the competition's first three years.
The Midlands boasts three of the ten teams; Worcester Valkyries, Gloucester Hartpury Women and Wasps Ladies.

Three men arrested following a collision on Hinckley Road, Nuneaton, yesterday have been released from hospital and are in police custody.
The crash, involving three cars - one of which was being pursued by police - happened just before 13:00.
The three men, aged 22, 25 and 26, and all from Coventry, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated taking of a vehicle and a house burglary.
