A 51-year-old-man has been jailed for life after he pleaded guilty to murdering his partner, external.
Mark Pearce, of Bewdley Street Evesham, was told by Worcester Crown Court he would serve a minimum of 16-and-a-half years.
West Mercia say Pearce stabbed his partner once after "a domestic argument".

A lawyer who worked for the Crown Prosecution Service in the West Midlands has been jailed for six years after admitting attempting to murder his wife while depressed.
Iain Farrimond, 54, of of Battenhall Road in Worcester, failed to kill his wife Tina of 28 years with a large kitchen knife, and then beat her with a wooden ornamental cat - only stopping the assault when she pleaded with him.
Judge Gregory Dickinson, in sentencing "loving and devoted husband" Farrimond at at Nottingham Crown Court, described it as a sad case, committed while the attacker was "in the grip of severe depressive illness".

A court has heard how a senior court prosecutor with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in Birmingham stabbed his wife in the head as she slept after a bout of depression brought on by the pressures of work.
Nottingham Crown Court heard that Iain Farrimond, 54, told police immediately afterwards that he had intended his assault in the early hours of 26 May, the day before his wedding anniversary, to be the "day of death".
Farrimond, of Battenhall Road in Worcester, who had penned a suicide note at the scene of the assault, admitted attempted murder.
The court was told that his wife, who suffered five stab wounds in the attack, had enjoyed a "remarkably successful" recovery from her physical injuries.
Farrimond, who was dismissed from the CPS following the incident, will be sentenced later.

A lawyer has pleaded guilty to attempted murder.
Iain Farrimond, 53, of Battenhall Road, Worcester, worked for the Crown Prosecution Service in Birmingham for 23 years.
At Nottingham Crown Court this afternoon he's admitted stabbing a woman in Worcester in May.
