    Hull's new city centre fountains are being officially switched on any minute now.

    They've been installed as part of the multi-million pound city centre upgrade.

    They were due to be turned on at 10:00.

    The search for a new manager begins for Hull City after it was announced that Marco Silva has resigned from the club.

    He led Hull to six wins from his 18 Premier League games, with relegation confirmed after a 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace on 14 May.

    In a statement, Hull said they were "disappointed" by the departure of a "firm fans' favourite".

    It's understood the search for a new manager will begin next week.

    People attending the Radio 1 Big Weekend in East Yorkshire are being urged to book a place on an official shuttle bus to travel to the site.

    Fifty thousand people are expected to go to the festival over the next two days.

    Heightened security following the Manchester bombing means everyone attending will be searched twice before they get onto the site.

    Anyone getting a taxi will also be required to get a shuttle bus from an official drop-off site.

    The Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team is urging kayakers and jet ski users to invest in a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) - which is device that alerts the Coastguard to your position if you get into distress.

    It comes after the team was called out during the early hours of this morning after a kayaker signalled they were in distress by using a PLB.

    They were called out at 04:35 and the kayaker was found safe and well shortly afterwards.

    Simple Minds are playing an acoustic concert at the Bridlington Spa tonight and the venue has enhanced their security in light of the Manchester attack.

    Bags and jackets will be searched on entering the venue and the only technology people will be able to use inside is phones.

    In addition, people arriving at the end of the concert to collect friends or family will not be allowed to inside.

    There were signalling problems at Hull Paragon Station this afternoon which caused some delays.

    Just before 14:00, a signaller reported a fault with the signalling at Hull Paragon station. Network Rail workers visited the site and carried out work to resolve the problem.     Dozens of wind turbines that were assembled at the Siemen's factory in Hull have begun generating power in the North Sea.

    The Dudgeon wind farm off the Norfolk coast is the first to use turbines from Hull's new Green Port.

    When it's finished, the farm will power almost 500,000 homes.
