    A flood warning, external at Bridlington's Harbour Road and Floral Pavilion remains in place.

    That means that flooding is expected and immediate action is required.

  3. Listen: Open-top bus tours planned for Hullpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 28 June 2017

    You'll soon be able to get an open-top bus tour around Hull City Centre.

    East Yorkshire Motor Services plans to run the tours from the start of the school summer holidays.

    You'll be able to see Queen Victoria Square, the Marina, the Deep and the Museum Quarter as part of the tour.

    Claire Robinson, from EYMS, says it'll be a proper round-trip of the city's landmarks and places of interest.

    Almost 33,000 illegal cigarettes and 1.6kg of rolling tobacco have been seized in a raid in Grimsby.

    Trading Standards officers used a sniffer dog to uncover the haul in three shops and a flat on Freeman Street and a flat on the Willows Estate.

    It's part of a series of crackdowns which have taken place since 2014.

    In that time almost 650,000 illegal cigarettes and 665kg of rolling tobacco have been seized in 70 raids.

    The estimated street value of the latest raid is over £8,000 and would have cost over £20,000 to buy legitimately.

    Figures showing the number of visitors attending cultural events and activities in Hull during the first three months of City of Culture have been "impressive", the UK City of Culture body says.

    Hull University's interim findings show 1.4m people attended City of Culture events, and a third of these included visits to the city's museums and galleries.

    Hull was awarded City of Culture status in November 2013, beating competition from Swansea, Leicester and Dundee.

    UK City of Culture Independent Advisory Panel Chairman Phil Redmond says Hull has "raised the bar" for its 2021 successor.

    Hull-based Reckitt Benkiser is one of the companies across the globe which has been hit by a major ransomware cyber-attack.

    The virus, the source of which is not yet known, freezes the user's computer and demands an untraceable ransom be paid in the digital Bitcoin currency.

    Consumer goods giant Reckitt Benckiser says it's "marshalled significant resources to rectify the situation as soon as possible".

    However, in a statement on the firm's website, external, it adds: "Although we are working round the clock to minimise the impact on customers and suppliers, we do anticipate that some markets will experience delays in shipping and invoicing.

    "We hope to be in a position to resolve this as soon as possible."

    Hull City of Culture chief executive Martin Green says he's astounded that nine out of 10 people who live in Hull have been to an event linked to the City of Culture year.

    The figures come from research by the University of Hull, which also shows more than 1.4 million people have visited an event in 2017.

    A total of 70% of people living in Hull think the City of Culture year is having a positive impact on the city, the statistics also show.

    A flood warning, external is in place along the coast at Bridlington this morning, meaning flooding is expected and immediate action is required.

    Harbour Road and Floral Pavilion are at risk of waves overtopping from 08:45 to 10:00 during this morning's high tide.

    There are also flood alerts in place at Withernsea, Easington and Kilnsea, the North Sea coast from Whitby to Filey and around Bridlington.

    A flood alert means flooding is possible, so be prepared.

    From the quiet of Spurn Point to the buzz of Hull Fair, audio recordist and musician Chris Watson has been capturing the sounds of the Humber Estuary.

    He spent 18 months travelling the length of the estuary recording 60 hours of noise.

    He has produced a 20-minute composition with 20 speakers creating a sphere of sound. Here's just a taster:

    Plans to build a new custody suite to replace the existing ones at Grimsby and Scunthorpe police stations have been unveiled by Humberside Police.

    The force says it's planning to build the facility close to the A180 in Grimsby.

    It says the existing police stations will stay open.

    A drop-in session is being held at the West Marsh Community Centre on Thursday where residents can find out more about the plans.

    Scunthorpe United return for pre-season training today, and the club's finding it easier to sign better players after their third place finish last season, according to chairman Peter Swann.

    The club's hopeful of bringing in two or three more in the next few weeks and Swann says players' perceptions of the League One club have been changed.

    He says: "The one thing that's certainly apparent this year is that because of our performance last year a lot of players look at us now as an ambitious club which wants to get into the Championship. That is a success."
