    Almost a year after Renata Antczak went missing in Hull, a man caught up in the trial of her husband says he wants to clear his name and he believes she's still alive.

    There has been no trace of Renata since she dropped her daughter off at school last April.

    Yesterday her husband Dr Majid Mustafa who is dentist admitted asking a friend to get hold of date rape drug to find out if she was having an affair.

    That friend, Robert Lipinski has told the BBC he believes Renata is still alive and says his life has been ruined by the case.

    Back in December 2017 Robert Lipinski was cleared of two counts of conspiracy to administer a noxious substance.

    The "ride out" on 15 April is an event organised and promoted by motorcycle groups and supported by Humberside Police to raise awareness of the ongoing work between officers and the wider community to reduce and prevent motorbike-related crime across the city.

    The event will start at Hessle Park and Ride, Priory Park around 09:00 and will see the bikers ride anti-clockwise around Hull.

  13. Visit to view new water treatment facilitypublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 13 April 2018

    Officials from Yorkshire Water and members of Hollym Parish Council visited Anglian Water’s Aero-Fac waste water treatment facility in Cambridgeshire to see how a similar treatment works could work in Withernsea.

    The new £30m facility will replace the existing Withernsea Waste Water Treatment Works because it needs to be relocated.

    Yorkshire Water say the Aero-Fac process is a biological, aerated treatment process which is low carbon, low energy and for the majority of time is powered by wind.

    If planning permission is granted, work is expected to start on the waste water treatment facility in the spring of 2020 and completed in the summer of 2021.

  16. Second man dies after M62 crashpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 13 April 2018

    A man who was left seriously injured after a crash on the M62 in East Yorkshire last week has died, police have confirmed.

    The 37-year-old, from Manchester, was a passenger in a car which was in collision with an HGV at about 09:30 on Tuesday 3 April.

    The lorry was travelling westbound when it went through the central reservation and hit the car, which was heading eastbound.

    The crash blocked the motorway in both directions at Ouse Bridge, near Goole, for several hours.

    The car's driver, 41-year-old Nigel Eley, also from Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The 22-year-old truck driver sustained serious injuries, but has since been discharged from hospital, police say.

    A total of 20 schools in East Yorkshire have been closed today after receiving what police say is a "hoax email".

    In a statement, Humberside Police said: "We want to categorically reassure parents and children, staff and the wider public that this a non-credible threat that has been sent nationwide.

    "Our primary concern is to ensure that schools are given guidance, up-to-date information and reassurance and above all that everyone is safe."

    It's the 40th time the event has been put on by the Hull and East Yorkshire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.

    Humberside Police are urging motorbikers to tag their vehicles in an effort to deter thieves.

    Data tagging is a system where microchips are inserted into bikes to mark them and provide an identification reference that can be easily checked.

    Officers will be out today, using a scanner (pictured) to check motorbikes to see if they have identification tags on them.
