    Hull and East Yorkshire have one of the worst records for animal cruelty in the country, new figure show.

    The RSPCA says it investigated more than 2,000 complaints in the area last year.

    It's now started an education campaign to try and teach young people about how to look after animals.

  4. Tunnelling project starts under the Humberpublished at 08:00

    Drilling has begun on a major project to build a tunnel under the River Humber.

    It will take the tunnel-boring machine a year to drill from Goxhill in North Lincolnshire to Paull in East Yorkshire.

    The tunnel will eventually carry a fifth of the UK's gas supply.
