A police officer has been formally dismissed by Humberside Police after he was convicted of assaulting his partner.
Temporary Sgt Lee Robinson had already tendered his resignation after he was convicted of the assault.
He had also been convicted of breaching a non-molestation order by making multiple telephone calls and sending numerous tweets.
A police tribunal, held in Goole, found his actions amounted to gross misconduct and said had he not already resigned he would have been sacked without notice.

Transport for London say this will be the first order for new deep tube trains and is part of the programme to modernise four underground lines - The Piccadilly, Bakerloo, Central and Waterloo and City lines.
Siemens announced plans for the £200m rail factory, which is expected to create 700 jobs, in March.

A third of Hull's public health budget is spent on dealing with drug and alcohol abuse in the city, the leader of the council has told the BBC.
Stephen Brady's comments come as Hull City Council and Humberside Police pledge to take a "zero tolerance" approach to crime and anti-social behaviour in the city centre.
In recent weeks, Humberside Police have stepped up their patrols in the area and have made about 50 arrests relating to anti-social behaviour in the city centre.
Quote MessageWe spend about £7.5m dealing with drug and alcohol abuse. If you look at it, you could say it's a waste of money, but it's also a waste of life and we need to do the work necessary to help."
Councillor Stephen Brady, Leader, Hull City Council
BBC Radio Humberside and the new Hull Venue have announced that they will co-host a night of live music featuring local bands for the opening night of the new music venue.
Hull-based band The Hubbards will be the first to headline at the Hull Venue.
The band say they're "proper chuffed" to be the first band to perform.
The event will be held on Wednesday 25 July.
With passengers taking over 700,000 fewer journey on buses in Hull, some councillors are asking whether bus lanes should be scrapped.
In London, bus lanes have been useful in helping to reduce congestion, but in Liverpool they've been scrapped to help traffic move through the city.
At a scrutiny meeting this week, some Hull City councillors called for the lanes to be removed.
But Hull City Council says it has no plans to introduce a review on the scrapping of bus lanes.
Since bus lane cameras were introduced to 14 Hull sites in 2015, £2m has been generated from fines.
