Doncaster Council said it will conduct a structural investigation to determine the future of St James' Baths in Waterdale after the roof collapsed.

The investigation will help the council decide if the listed building can be refurbished or whether an application to de-list the building will be made.

It follows the revelation York has higher rates of death among heroin and morphine users than many larger cities.

The latest figures show it's almost double the national average in York.

Michael Pavlovic, a former probation officer, says he fears the cuts will have much wider implications:

Dan Jarvis said he did not understand why travel operator Stagecoach had the rule in place.

Currently only folding bikes can be taken on the Sheffield Supertram network.

Stagecoach said space and safety reasons prevented them accepting "unsecured traditional bikes".

Mr Jarvis said: "I will be raising my concerns and asking questions about why it is that in other parts of the country people can take their bike onto the tram, but you can't do that here.

"I'll be expecting a very good reason why you can't do that and if there isn't, I expect a change of policy."

A major scheme aiming to combat the threat of another devastating flood in York is due to be considered later.

The idea is to slow the flow of the River Foss after heavy rain by creating huge flood storage areas upstream.

It's hoped the scheme could help prevent a repeat of floods like those of December 2015.

About 850,000 cubic metres of water, the equivalent of 340 Olympic-sized swimming pools, could be slowed and held back by lagoons.

Andrew Waller, City of York Council's executive member for the environment, says the aim is to look at the way the whole of the Foss flows, rather than just focusing on the stretch through York.

The company has introduced an emergency timetable today after hundreds of delays and cancellations over the last two weeks.

Northern says it is now trying to stabilise things.:
