    A man is in a critical condition after being found with a head injury at a flat in Doncaster.

    The 25-year-old was discovered in Nether Hall Road at about 19:30 on Saturday, South Yorkshire Police said.

    He was later taken to hospital, where he remains critically ill.

    A police cordon is in place at the scene.

    A 37-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.

    Police are appealing for an "important" witness to contact them after a teenage girl was raped in York.

    It happened on Thursday night on Hob Moor, an area of common land opposite the city's racecourse.

    A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and released on conditional bail.

    The man stopped and spoke to the victim to ask if she was okay.

    Two teenagers continue to be questioned over the stabbing of a man in Hebden Bridge.

    A 20-year-old man is in a critical but stable condition after being attacked in a park in the town, police said.

    The victim was stabbed in the chest in Calder Holmes Park at about 17:30 on Saturday.

    He was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.

    Two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, have been arrested and are currently in custody, officers said.
