    As nine swans are found to have died from bird flu, is the disease in danger of spreading around the UK?

    At the end of December there were cases in Carmarthenshire, Leicestershire and Somerset involving one wigeon each. A wigeon is a type of dabbling duck.  

    Five wigeons were found to have died of bird flu in Lincolnshire in the last week of 2016.

    A charity is calling on more volunteers in Lincolnshire. 

    Therapy Dogs Nationwide uses dogs as a form of comfort for people in care homes, hospices and hospitals. 

    They have assessors in the north of the county but say they need more for other areas.

    Mandy Stephenson takes her labrador Angus to The Wolds Care Home to visit residents- she says the dogs can change people's lives and offer comfort.

    An animal charity which has a hospital in Grimsby wants more help for older people at risk of losing their pets when they go into a care home.

    The Blue Cross says not all pet friendly homes actually allow a resident to keep an animal. 

    With a quarter of older pet owners describing their pet as family, the charity is calling for a clearer approach to the problem.

    More than £1 million has been awarded to fight homelessness in Lincolnshire. 

    A number of groups had bid for the money from the Government.

    £1.3 million will be spent over the next four years- sixteen authorities and agencies are involved in the initiative including District Councils, the Police, Addaction and Healthwatch Lincolnshire. 

    They're now tasked with ensuring homeless people become drug and alcohol free and can access education, training and employment. 

    The money will also help them with accommodation and health problems. The project is one of only eight nationally to receive the funding.

    Lincoln City season ticket holders have headed to Sincil Bank this morning to bag their FA Cup third round replay tickets.

    The Imps face Ipswich Town at home next Tuesday.

    Lincoln City have said it will be an all ticket game.

    The draw for the fourth round will be on BBC2 just after 19:00 this evening. Look out for ball number one!

    A 51-year-old man has died following a crash between a motorbike and a car yesterday afternoon.

    It happened on the A18 near Humberside Airport.

    Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the crash or a grey Renault Megane or a black BMW motorcycle to contact them.

    The investigation into the Tunisian terror attack in which a woman from Lincolnshire died, will be the focus of a special BBC programme tonight. 

    Carly Lovett from Gainsborough was among 38 tourists killed at a beach resort in Sousse in June. 

    Three months earlier - Sally Adey from Scothern died along with 22 people at the Bardo museum in Tunis.

    The inquests into their deaths begin next Monday. Panorama is on BBC One tonight at 20:30.

    Following an earlier appeal and ongoing police searches, we can confirm that John Wright reported missing form Grimsby earlier today has now been located safe and well, external.

    Police are appealing for help to locate a man who has been reported missing in Grimsby this morning.

    Concern is raised for the welfare of 37-year-old John Wright who has gone missing from an address in the Seaton Grove area of Grimsby this morning.  

    Friends and family are worried for his welfare as he is said to have left the address in a distressed state which is out of character.

    John is described as a white man of stocky build and wearing a blue T shirt, a black Adidas light weight jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

    Distinctive aspects of John’s appearance are a tattoo on the top of his left arm and a partially missing front tooth.

    There's a special programme on the BBC tonight about the investigation into two terror attacks in Tunisia in 2015 which killed two Lincolnshire women.
