  10. Lincoln waste plant: Council planners recommend refusalpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2017

    Alex Rhodes
    BBC Lincolnshire Live

County Council planners are recommending councillors reject plans for the proposed Veolia waste recycling plant on Long Leys Road, Lincoln.

As we've told you previously residents had reacted strongly to the development, saying the proposed site isn't suitable:

    Quote Message

This assessment has concluded that it is not possible to impose a condition that would restrict the hours of operation to the day-time period and it has not been demonstrated that the development can take place during the night-time period without causing an unacceptable impact on the amenity of local residents.

    Council report

The County Council will formally vote on the matter on 6 February.
