    A man from Skegness has received a suspended sentence for child pornography offences. 

    Dozens of illegal videos and photographs were found on John Hepburn's computer. Some of the images involved animals. 

    The 66-year-old from Sea View Road admitted the charges at Lincoln Crown Court. He's been given an eight month jail sentence suspended for two years and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

    Police want to speak to this man after a customer returned a television that he hadn't bought for cash.

    On 2 January a man picked up a television from the shop floor in Lincoln before walking straight to the cashier till and asking for a refund.

    The cashier handed over £329.99 after believing the shop's manager had approved of the transaction.

    The man then left the store.

    British Steel says it plans to employ 25 new manufacturing trainees under a new scheme.

    The company is hosting a jobs fair at its Scunthorpe plant today and says the new recruits will be trained in different parts of its operation. 

    The scheme has been developed with the unions who've called it an excellent opportunity.

    The Labour leader has accused the Conservatives of "talking down" a bill by Grimsby MP Melanie Onn, external (pictured) to protect workers' rights after Brexit during today's Prime Ministers Questions.

    Melanie Onn told the Commons last year that she wanted to see provision made for the safeguarding of workers' rights after raising concerns.

    She called on the government "to take proactive steps to protect employment rights that are not contained in primary legislation and that therefore risk falling away post-Brexit."

    Ms Onn said it was "no use adopting a wait-and-see attitude; people in this country deserve to know that their rights at work will not suffer detriment."

    Workers will be protected says Theresa May who quotes London mayor Sadiq Khan as claiming government doesn't want to weaken workers' rights.

    The decision to close the Grimsby ice rink will have to be looked at again by the full council in North East Lincolnshire.

    Earlier councillors considered the decision at a scrutiny meeting.

    The local authority recently voted to close the rink saying it's too expensive to run.

    A 20-year-old man has been assaulted while walking between Burgh Road and Albany Close on Monday afternoon. 

    It happened at around 13:25 and police are looking for a man dressed all in black.

    The victim was treated in hospital for his injuries.

    Steel workers in Scunthorpe will have their salaries raised back up after they agreed to a sacrifice of 3% to help British Steel last year. 

    The salary sacrifice was implemented in June 2016 following an agreement from employees.

    British Steel took over the running of the site in June 2016.

    It has secured contracts including a £2m project at Hinkley Point and a long-term contract with Italy's national rail track company.

    A controversial decision to close Grimsby's ice rink will be scrutinised by councillors in North East Lincolnshire today. 

    The local authority recently voted to close the rink saying it's too expensive to run. 

    The Conservative group on the council called in the decision which means it has to be looked at again.

    You may have heard over the weekend the Sun picked up on a list that ranked Skegness as one of the "worst travel destinations in the world".

    Other entries included war-torn Damascus in Syria, the earthquake devastated Port au Prince in Haiti and Pyongyang in North Korea. 

    Anyone who's actually been to Skegness will know what utter nonsense this is.

    Plans which are expected to see a dramatic overhaul of health services in Lincolnshire are being discussed in private today.

    More than 150 health experts, council leaders and partner agency bosses aim to thrash out details of a five year plan for the county. 

    It could include merging maternity services and downgrading Grantham Hospital.

    But health bosses have insisted that any plan will go before public consultation before becoming a reality.

    A meeting is being held today about plans to build a new waste plan in Lincoln.

    More than 300 objections have been lodged against the planning application on Long Leys Road because residents say it's too close to their homes.

    Well what's a pain in the neck (literally) for us, is great news if you happen to own a company that makes cough sweets. 

    Jakemans has been doing just that at its factory in Boston for over a hundred years. This is how they make them.
