  3. Swearing in football: Your viewspublished at 10:58 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2017

    Alex Rhodes
    BBC Lincolnshire Live

Your's truly voiced an email we got after a Lincoln City game earlier, where the author said there was too much swearing in football. No, not the players, the crowd.

You've been having your say on the matter:

    Quote Message

Swearing never bothered me at football grounds, indeed I joined in with the rest of them. Then I had kids and like most dads took my boys to football and all of a sudden I noticed all the swearing, so it's a parent thing."

    Derick Hare, Facebook

    Quote Message

If he's offended by foul language I suggest he keeps well away from Lincoln High Street because you get worse than that every day of the week."

I would suggest he takes up watching bowls or something!"

    Quote Message

I was at the game at Portman Road and the atmosphere made the game. Perhaps your listener who emailed in would prefer to support Chelsea or Blackpool, two grounds with very little atmosphere and certainly very little chanting."

Washed up seals pups - including one named after US President Donald Trump - are doing well after being left exhausted by the recent East Coast tidal surge.

Staff at Skegness Seal Sanctuary have been caring for them and named this little chap Donald because of the blonde fur on his head:

The charity says the plan is to fatten them up before releasing them back into the wild.

    Scott Dalton
    Presenter, BBC Radio Lincolnshire

A Lincolnshire couple evacuated from The Gambia say they were threatened by armed soldiers as they were taken to the airport.

Gill Thomas and Alan Cupitt - who are from Alford - were just a few days into their holiday when it was feared the army would step in to remove a former president

The pair landed back on Friday and told me that the experience was very frightening:

Now, as you probably know, Lincoln City are doing rather well in the football at the moment and fans are very excited.

You could hear the cheers from Sincil Bank for miles around when they beat Ipswich Town in their FA Cup clash last week.

But that wasn't all you could hear. We got this rather tongue-in-cheek email from one fan who says he won't be going to a game any time soon, take a look:

A total of £150,000 is being spent to stop criminals re-offending in Lincolnshire after Police revealed that people who've been in trouble before are responsible for much of the county's crime.

Figures show that 2% of offenders commit 13% of all offences in Lincolnshire.

The programme will be funded by the County Council and the Police and Crime Commissioner, Marc Jones:

It's making sure they're monitored properly, that their children go to school. It's making sure that all of those aspects of their lives work to try and take them out of chaos and break that cycle of criminality. It'll protect everyone in the county and that can only be a good thing.
