    The trust which runs Lincolnshire hospitals has been found guilty of breaching health and safety regulations following the death of a patient. 

    John Biggadike from Spalding was impaled on lifting equipment at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital in 2012. 

    After a two week trial at Lincoln Crown Court the jury took three hours to find United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust guilty of failing to discharge a duty of care. 

    The organisation will be sentenced at a later date.

    Everyone at a Lincolnshire school is being trained in lifesaving CPR skills, thanks to the BBC's Save A Life Campaign

    About 500 pupils and staff at the National Church of England School in Grantham are helping BBC Radio Lincolnshire reach the target of teaching 10,000 people how to perform chest compressions for someone suffering a cardiac arrest.

    Patients left waiting for test results in the aftermath of the global cyber attack which has hit computer systems at hospitals in Lincolnshire have been giving their reaction to the situation.

    Steve Helmer, from Nettleham near Lincoln, is waiting to see if he has lung cancer and was expecting to hear the results of tests today, but his appointment was cancelled.

    Mr Helmer has told the BBC the worst part is not knowing: "It's not their fault, and it's not my fault. But this is what it does to people. It totally and utterly trashes them."

    An appeal's being made for witnesses to an assault in Spalding last month.

    It happened at a taxi rank in Red Lion Street (pictured) at about 03:30 on Sunday 30 April.

    A 20-year-old man needed hospital treatment for a facial injury as a result of the attack.

    Health bosses in Lincolnshire say a number of IT systems have been restored following the recent global cyber attack, but some remain unavailable.

    Hospitals run by United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust and GP surgeries across the county were hit by the attack, which also affected several other NHS trusts in England and Scotland.

    Andrew Morgan, chief executive of Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, has thanked staff for working through the problems over the weekend. 

    He said: "We ask that you remain patient with us during this time and help us to help you by only accessing our urgent care services if absolutely necessary." 

    Staff have reverted to "paper-based systems" where necessary, Mr Morgan adds.

    The Electoral Commission says about seven million people are unregistered, with 17% of people in Yorkshire and the Humber region not currently signed up. 

    Less than a third of under-34s are registered, that's compared to 4% of over 55s. 

    People can register to vote online, or download the forms to register by post,, external from the government's website.

    Work is "ongoing" to fix IT systems at Linconshire's hospitals hit by Friday's cyber attack, hospital trust bosses have confirmed.

    All routine hospital appointments in Lincoln, Boston and Grantham have been suspended after the cyber attack which has affected the NHS in England and Scotland, United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust says.

    In a statement, the trust says it "appreciates the situation is causing anxiety for patients, but staff will be in touch to rearrange appointments".
