    Nearly 100 churches are taking part in the West Lindsey Churches Festival, external.

    Half opened their doors last weekend, with the other half due to take part next weekend.

    Organisers say the event attracts visitors from around the world and is aimed at celebrating their architecture, heritage and spirituality.

    GP surgeries in Lincolnshire are currently unable to deal with routine appointments because they can't access patient details after Friday's cyber attack.

    All computer systems in the county's GP surgeries are currently shut down so the virus - which has hit the NHS in England and Scotland - can be dealt with.

    Dr Kieran Sharrock, a GP in Spilsby and medical director of the Lincolnshire Medical Committee, says patients should only see their GP today if it's an urgent or an emergency situation.

    "We don't have access to any medical records, prescriptions, blood test or X-ray results, so if people are coming for routine appointments, for follow-ups or for a new problem which isn't urgent or an emergency, we're asking for them to postpone that."

  3. Warning over sneak-in burglariespublished at 09:42 British Summer Time 15 May 2017

    People in Lincolnshire are being reminded not to leave windows and doors unsecured as the warmer weather approaches.

    The warning comes after an attempted sneak-in burglary in Spalding, external in the early hours of Sunday morning.

    The burglar left empty-handed after being disturbed by a neighbour while attempting to gain access through the open window of a house in Park Road between 05:30 and 05:45 yesterday.

    Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police.

    A school in Lincolnshire is trying to make sure pupils are better prepared to care for people with dementia.

    Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Horncastle is teaching students more about the condition. 

    About 11,000 people in Lincolnshire have dementia.

    All routine hospital appointments in Lincoln, Boston and Grantham have been suspended after Friday's cyber attack.

    United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust - one of seven trusts which reported ongoing difficulties at the weekend - says it's still working to get systems up and running.

    Chemotherapy treatments and antenatal appointments are, however, going ahead as planned. 

    A statement on the trust's website says, external: "Our teams will be in touch directly with anyone whose appointment is able to go ahead as scheduled."
