    Temperatures can drop as low as -135 degrees celsius!

    It's used to lessen muscle pain and speed up the recovery process.

    Relatives of Gainsborough men killed in the two World Wars have been at the unveiling of a new memorial to them.

    It's at the Queen Elizabeth High School in the town and all the men listed on the memorial studied there.

    It's been announced that Boston is to get almost £1.5m to help tackle problems caused by high levels of migration.

    The town is home to an estimated 18,000 EU migrants - and had the highest Brexit vote.

    The government has awarded the money to Boston Borough Council.

    It'll be used to promote community cohesion, improve access to English lessons, as well as tackling rogue landlords and anti-social behaviour.

    The MP for Louth and Horncastle Victoria Atkins has been appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Home Office in the latest government reshuffle.

    Her promotion comes off the back of Penny Mordaunt being promoted to International Development Secretary following the resignation of Priti Patel.

    Ms Patel resigned last night, following a series of unauthorised meetings with Israeli politicians.

    Artist Sean Atkinson has decided to sell his unusual home using the online currency Bitcoins and he's had some interest already.

    The home in Welholme Road is worth about £80k sterling.

    It's not just your run of the mill sale and it's not a run of the mill house, it's decorated with beautiful paintings which adorn its walls and ceilings.

    A woman has marked her 90th birthday in the air by going paragliding.

    Connie Smith, from Grantham, Lincolnshire, took to the skies in southern Spain to raise £250 for the pet charity, PDSA.

    She initially wanted to go wing walking but exceeded the 75 age limit.

    Market Rasen racecourse has been named as one of the six best small tracks in the country.

    It's the third year running that members of the Racehorse Owners Association have voted for Lincolnshire's only racecourse.

    It'll now go forward to the grand final next month.

    A fairer funding deal would stop front-line services being overstretched in Lincolnshire.

    That's the message from the police as a report from government inspectors says there's considerable concern about a predicted budget deficit for next year.

  12. Cash machine criminals 'may have fled to North Lincolnshire'published at 12:03 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2017

    Criminals who tried to steal a cash machine from a supermarket may have fled to North Lincolnshire, police believe.

    At least four masked men were involved and used a telehandler - usually used on farms and industrial plants - to rip one of the cash machines from the wall of Morrisions on Wetherby Road in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire, just after 02:15.

    The men loaded the machine onto a white flat-bed van - but as they did so police arrived, a dog section vehicle was rammed by the flat-bed van and the men left in a Mercedes car.

    They abandoned the cash machine at the scene and didn't stop for armed police - officers say they think the men were heading for the East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire area.

    Pupils from a Lincolnshire school have been selected to represent England at an International Table Tennis Championships.

    Darcie Proud, Mollie Patterson, Danielle Kelly and Karrie Rogers will travel to Malta for the week-long tournament, which will be held between 8 and 14 April 2018.

    They are all pupils at the Charles Read Academy at Corby Glen.

    They'll compete against players from 18 countries.

    A Frenchman living in Lincoln has been jailed for attempting to smuggle an Iraqi family in to the UK.

    Skelly Monpierre, aged 28, from Coleridge Gardens has been jailed for three years.

    He was arrested at Harwich International Port after arriving in a campervan from the Hook of Holland.

    A couple and two young children were found hiding in the back.

    Monpierre was found guilty after a four day trial at Chelmsford Crown Court - he also admitted two charges of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

    His accomplice, a Portuguese woman Patricia Ferreira, failed to appear at court.

    A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

  15. Opening date for Go Ape at Normanby Hallpublished at 11:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2017

    The region's first Go Ape should be open by Easter.

    Construction of the tree top adventure course at Normanby Hall Country Park is under way.

    It will include 29 crossings, a Tibetan bridge, Tarzan swing and zip wires.

    There will also be a smaller course for children.

    The nearest Go Ape to northern Lincolnshire is currently in Sherwood Forest in Nottingham.

    The new attraction is expected to bring in thousands of visitors and create 26 jobs.

    Two teenagers from North East Lincolnshire are pressing the government to change its policy on organ donation in England.

    Last night Ben and Tyler won a Humberside Police award after writing to the Prime Minister in support of an opt out system.

    Currently people have to opt in to donate their organs after death.

    But Ben's dad needs a lung transplant, so the pair are campaigning for more donors.

    Skegness' town crier and former district councillor Steve O'Dare, says he is concerned the town's war memorial could be hard to maintain because of its new Grade II listing.

    The stone Latin cross next to St Matthew's Church was listed by Historic England earlier this year for its historical and architectural interest.

    Mr O'Dare says they were planning a big clean of the memorial, and he's worried that will now be difficult.

    In response Historic England says it's committed to listing 2,500 war memorials to mark the centenary of the World War One and there's also a £2m fund to help pay for memorial repairs.

  18. Campaigners vow to keep fighting against asbestos plant planspublished at 09:39 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November 2017

    Campaigners against the expansion of a waste transfer station near Lincoln say they're not giving up hope.

    GBM Waste Management have been given permission by Lincolnshire County Council to handle asbestos on their site in South Hykeham, despite objections from three local councils.

    GBM can't start handling asbestos until it gets a permit from the Environment Agency.

    Erick Wozny is from the campaign group Hykeham Anti-Asbetos. He says as well as health concerns, they're worried about extra lorries arriving on site:

    GMB have declined to comment, but Lincolnshire County Council says regulations are in place for the safe handling and transportation of asbestos.

    Lincolnshire Police has been named as one of 10 forces that need to improve efficiency.

    Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary says officers needed to plan better for an uncertain financial future.
