    That's it from me today with your latest news, sport, travel and weather.

    Before I go, here are five things we've learned today:

    • Security is being stepped up for this year's Lincoln Christmas Market
    • Further drugs raids have been carried out in East Lindsey- officers have been working in the Wainfleet area
    • Patients in Lincolnshire say they're still being repeatedly let down by a private company paid to provide transport to and from hospital
    • West Lindsey District Council is working on a new plan to revitalise Market Rasen- the town has seen a rise in empty shops despite being included in the Portas Pilot scheme five years ago
    • The International Bomber Command Centre near Lincoln looks set to open in around 12 weeks' time.

  3. Man dies in A15 crashpublished at 17:38 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2017

    Police have just revealed that the man involved in the crash on the A15 this morning has died.

    The man, in his 30s, was involved in the incident on the stretch of road near RAF Scampton.

    It happened at 07:00 and the section has been closed between Saxby Cliff Road and Ingham Lane for most of the day.

    The collision involved two cars and a HGV.

    The road remains closed and diversions are in operation.

    The A15 between Saxby Cliff Road at Normanby-by-Spital and Ingham Lane at Scampton has been closed for most of the day.

    It's following a crash at 07:00.

    One person was seriously injured and the road remains closed in both directions.

    Lincolnshire Police say it is expected to be shut for the next few hours.

  5. Police extend drug searches in East Lindseypublished at 16:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2017

    Further drugs raids have been carried out in East Lindsey.

    Officers have been working in the Wainfleet area.

    It follows a day of action yesterday in Skegness and Ingoldmells.

    Five people have appeared before magistrates charged with drug dealing offences.

  6. Man jumps from first floor window in police pursuitpublished at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2017

    Two men have been arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs, external after a police chase in Scunthorpe.

    The arrests were made today on Frodingham Road.

    Two houses were raided and at one a man jumped out of a first floor window and ran off before being arrested by police.

    Humberside Police say Operation Sierra aims to reduce violent crimes, robberies and burglaries.

    They're asking people to come forward with information by either calling the 101 number or contacting Crimestoopers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

  7. Patients 'still being let down' by Thames Ambulance Servicepublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2017

    Patients in Lincolnshire say they're still being repeatedly let down by a private company paid to provide transport to and from hospital.

    Thames Ambulance has already come under fire from volunteer drivers for the way it pays expenses.

    Now former staff are criticising the way the company is being run.

  9. Heavy roadblocks and armed police planned for Lincoln's Christmas Marketpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2017

    Security is being stepped up for this year's Lincoln Christmas Market.

    Roads will be blocked off with large physical barriers to protect crowds and armed police will be on duty.

    It follows a number of terror attacks across Europe.

    Lincolnshire Police say the extra security is not based on a specific threat.

    A 31- year- old man's been charged in connection with a robbery in Sleaford.

    The police have been investigating an incident at Cogglesford Mill last week when a couple were targeted in the car park.

    Christopher Roberts from Dawson Road is accused of a number of crimes including assault, criminal damage and theft.

  11. Scunthorpe steelworks could play a role in Heathrow's third runwaypublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2017

    British Steel in Scunthorpe could be involved in building Heathrow's third terminal.

    It's been named as a potential site for a logistics hub, which will form part of the airports supply chain for the project.

    Parts would be pre-assembled at one of four hubs before being transported to London.

    Heathrow Airport say the project aims to get skills and expertise from across the country as well as creating new jobs.

    The third runway is described as one of Britain's largest privately funded infrastructure projects.

  12. Work to build IBCC 'back on track'published at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2017

    The International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln looks set to open in around 12 weeks time.

    Building work was put back earlier this year because of funding problems, but the construction team are now working flat out to get the development completed.

    Nicky Barr, from the IBCC, says after a stressful few months the centre is back on track:

    The force is in Lincoln today at a showcase of space-age technology, pioneering research and futuristic fun, at the University of Lincoln.

    It's the third year the event 'Future 2.0' has been held.

    Inspired by the epic film franchise Star Wars it offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in futuristic virtual reality worlds and meet the University’s growing collection of cutting-edge robots.

    The event's being held at the Engine Shed until 1500 GMT.

    Grimsby Town will show wholesale changes tonight for the dead-rubber Checkatrade Trophy tie with Sunderland Under 23s.

    Shaun McAllister and Jamey Osbourne are expected to make their first appearance of the season, while Sam Kelly and Mitch Rose are likely to be involved too following their more recent injuries.

    One person has been seriously injured in a crash on the A15 north of Lincoln.

    It happened just before 07:00 GMT this morning near Scampton.

    The road's still closed and diversions are in operation.

    Lincoln Cathedral's going head to head with others from across the country as part of the Cathedral World Cup.

    It's a competition on Twitter where you can vote for your favourite cathedral using the hashtag #CathedralWorldCup.

    It all started when St Paul's Cathedral tweeted that it had been named Britain's favourite building in 2015.

    Now, cathedrals from England and Wales are vying for votes to be named the best.

    Lincoln is up against Liverpool. Winchester and Peterborough.

    Five people have been charged with drugs offences on the Lincolnshire coast.

    It follows a day of action by the police to clamp down on drug related crime.

    A number of drug offence warrants were carried out in Skegness and Ingoldmells yesterday.

    It followed concerns raised by residents. A number of officers from Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire were involved.

    Five people will appear before magistrates today charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
