The body which trains junior doctors says it won't reinstate them at the paediatric ward of Pilgrim Hospital in Boston until the unit is adequately staffed with senior clinicians.
Health Education England has confirmed it will withdraw junior doctors from Wednesday 1 August over safety fears because of staff shortages.
The hospital trust says it is doing everything it can to maintain services and recruit more staff.
Galliford Try, external will finish the remaining construction of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass, after construction giant Carillion, who were originally due to build it, collapsed.
The bypass is now expected to be finished in May 2020, months later than originally planned.
Costs are also increasing to £120m - from the original price of £99m.
The council is expected to fund the extra costs, though it is applying for additional funding from the government and Historic England.

Two women are being treated in hospital after an incident at a property in Horncastle.
Officers were called to Louth Road just after 15:00 yesterday.
Police say their inquiries are continuing and a cordon remains in place at the property.
The move is in response to concerns over the safety of patients and staff at the unit.

Thousands of steelworkers' jobs in towns and cities across the country are under threat because of the tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump, according to a new study by the GMB union, external.
The GMB listed Parliamentary constituencies most at risk and placed Rotherham, Scunthorpe, Newport East, Corby and Aberavon in south Wales, in the top five.
The union said the steel industry supports more than 34,000 jobs, with annual wages of more than £1 billion contributing £230m in tax and national insurance contributions.
It said the study highlighted the potential impact of steel tariffs on the UK economy.

Health Education England, external has confirmed it'll withdraw junior doctors from Boston Pilgrim Hospital's paediatric ward later this summer.
It's after concerns about patient safety and a lack of doctors.

A Lincoln primary school has been rated as inadequate, external, with a new report from the education watchdog Ofsted highlighting serious weaknesses.
Inspectors describe Hartsholme Academy, external as inadequate for leadership, teaching and outcomes for pupils.
In a letter to parents, the headteacher admits the news may come as a shock, but says the trust which runs the school has already move forward since the inspection.
The school is due to transfer to the Healing Academy Trust, external later this year.

Children's services are currently under review by the trust which runs the Pilgrim because of a severe shortage of staff.
Health Education England says patient safety and the safe supervision of junior doctors are both of paramount importance.
It will remove trainees from the ward at Boston Pilgrim at the start of August and they will continue their training elsewhere at the trust.
