  1. Hinstock lorry crash house demolishedpublished at 13:29 British Summer Time 5 August 2016

    Here's the scene at Hinstock where a Grade II building has been demolished.

    A lorry crashed into the home on the A41 at Shakeford on 26 July. 

    Shropshire Council said the decision to remove the whole building had been made because it continued "to pose a serious risk" to the public and contractors.

  2. Charity walkers preparing for 'jurassic hike'published at 13:01 British Summer Time 5 August 2016

    The slightly unnerving dinosaur's head you can see forms part of a 200kg sculpture of a T Rex dinosaur. 

    It's going to be carried up to the summit of Mount Snowdon later this month.

    Ben Knowles from the British Ironworks Centre and Jay Moore from Oswestry Cambrian Rotary are among those who'll be carrying it up the mountain to raise money for the children's charity Hope House.

    Coalport China Museum is trying to raise more than £60k to keep hold of some important pieces of locally made china. 

    They've been on loan to the museum for 30 years, but the owner is now selling up.

    They include a a large blue and gold vase (top) and a Loving Cup, featuring pictures of the Forest Glen, (bottom).

    The trust that runs Shropshire's two main hospitals is among the best in the country at referring would-be organ donors.

    Last year, every potential donor was referred for consideration by medics - the best figures in the Midlands.
