  2. Anglian Water complete A1214 work earlypublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2016

    Anglian Water has confirmed that work which has led to lengthy delays on the A1214 at Kesgrave, and neighbouring Grange Farm (pictured) was completed yesterday afternoon.

    At its height, the tailbacks spread to Foxhall Road and the A12.

    The work was originally scheduled to finish today.

  3. Ian Lavender returns to EastEnderspublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2016

    Dad's Army star Ian Lavender is to return to EastEnders later this month for a festive storyline.

    The actor, who lives in the county, will reprise his role as Derek Harkinson, last seen in Albert Square in 2005.

    Lavender, who is best known for playing Private Pike in Dad's Army, has already filmed his scenes for the soap.

    He said: "It was brilliant to work with some old friends again, especially those who I only briefly got to work with before.

    "It was a lovely surprise to be back and I had a great time."

    We've had a reporter in Snailwell, but it appears the fire on the Lynx Business Park has now been put out - there's no smoke or flames to be seen.

    We're trying to get the latest from the fire service as we speak.

  8. Snailwell fire: Blaze at Lynx Business Parkpublished at 12:51 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2016

    We've just had it confirmed the fire is at Tristel Solutions on the Lynx Business Park on Fordham Road, which is two miles north of Newmarket and the A14.

    Firefighters tackled the blaze from above using an aerial appliance. 

    Cambridgeshire Fire Service has no information on its incident log about whether people had to be evacuated from the site.

    BBC Suffolk breakfast presenter Mark Murphy has been trying his hand at creating a Guy Fawkes effigy, with any money raised going to this year's Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, external.

    He's created a "Penny for the Guy" figure, which is outside our studios on St Matthew's Street in Ipswich.

    We've found our from our colleagues in the BBC Press Office that the contestant on tonight's edition of Mastermind whose specialist subject is Ipswich Town is an auditor by the name of Phil Boor.

    I suspect he may want to keep a low profile if he scores particularly highly - as he's from Norwich.

    Cambridgeshire Fire Service has just confirmed it is tackling a blaze at a business park in Snailwell - close to the Suffolk border.

    It was called at just before 10:00 after the fire broke out at a woodchip silo.

    Flames were reaching 15m high and 30 firefighters are tackling the blaze, a spokesman said.
