A 'Lilo and Stitch' live action is coming in 2025

The last few years have seen several live action remakes of Disney classics including the Lion King, the Little Mermaid and Mulan.
Another film will soon be added to the list, with a live action version of the animated movie Lilo and Stitch set to hit the big screen next summer.
The announcement was made at the D23 event in California which attracted thousands of Disney fans over the weekend.
Lilo and Stitch first came out over 20 years ago in 2002, so many fans are excited to see what the live action version will have in store.

The original movie is all about a young Hawaiian girl called Lilo who is being raised by her older sister Nani following the death of their parents.
Lilo goes to animal shelter and adopts a 'dog' which she calls Stitch.
However, all is not as it seems.
Stitch is actually a mischievous alien created by a science experiment gone wrong and he's hiding on Earth from the people looking to recapture him.
Together, Lilo and Stitch learn about the important of friendship and 'ohana', which is the Hawaiian word for family.
What do we know so far?
The 2025 live action adaptation of Lilo and Stitch will see the alien brought to life through the power of CGI.
Chris Sanders, who voiced Stitch in the 2002 movie, will take on the role once again.
