BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Greg Brady said: "It's a division game against one that won the division last year and got all the way to the NFC Championship game the season before.

"It's the kind of game you could look back on in December and say 'that one really got us going' The Packers are making a statement so far."

  2. Two-minute warningpublished at 22:32 British Summer Time 7 September

Detroit Lions 3-17 Green Bay Packers

Jared Goff gets his side back into the red zone now as Detroit look for an answer inside the two-minute warning.

The way the Packers have started you fancy a field goal may not be enough.

  3. Full-time - Jags get off to winning startpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 7 September

FT: Carolina Panthers 10-26 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars burned some time before Cam Little kicked his fourth field goal of the day.

Panthers quarterback Bryce Young then threw his second interception, allowing the hosts to ice it.

  4. field goal

Field goal - Texans lead in LApublished at 22:25 British Summer Time 7 September

Houston Texans 3-0 Los Angeles Rams

It's also a low-scoring affair at SoFi Stadium, with five of the opening six possessions ended with a punt.

The other resulted in a 51-yard field goal by Ka'imi Fairbairn, which gave the Texans the lead at the end of the first quarter.

  5. field goal

Field goal - Titans edge back in frontpublished at 22:21 British Summer Time 7 September

    Tennessee Titans 6-3 Denver Broncos

Tennessee and Denver opened their game by exchanging field goals, before the Titans failed to capitalise on a Bo Nix interception as Titans running back Tony Pollard fumbled.

A strip sack on Nix gave the Titans another opportunity to score but their new quarterback - first overall draft pick Cam Ward - was sacked on 3rd & Goal for a 15-yard loss so the visitors had to settle for a 33-yard field goal by Joey Slye.

  6. touchdown

That was quick! Just two plays to cover 65 yards and score another Green Bay touchdown as Jordan Love finds Jayden Reed for a 17-yard score.

The only other play on the drive was a brilliant 48-yard pass down the middle for Romeo Doubs and less than a minute after Detroit's field goal they've got the ball back again after allowing the touchdown.

That's clinical from the Packers offence, although their defence may not be too happy as they're back out on the field again without a proper rest...

  7. field goal

Field goal - Lionspublished at 22:15 British Summer Time 7 September

Detroit Lions 3-10 Green Bay Packers

Detroit needed points off that drive so they'll take the three, especially after being helped by a soft taunting penalty against Green Bay.

Jake Bates is good from 30 yards, nothing more than a chip shot for these guys, after Jared Goff got somerhing moving at last.

Micah Parsons already has been deployed in a number of positions across the Packers defence - and is attracting plenty of attention from Detroit wherever he goes.

  8. Rodgers for a play-off run?published at 22:10 British Summer Time 7 September

Pittsburgh Steelers 34-32 New York Jets

    Aaron RodgersImage source, Getty Images

This could be the last dance for Aaron Rodgers, but could the 42-year-old make one last play-off push?

He seemed to have plenty of juice left when throwing four touchdowns in tonight's win over the Jets - and as he left the field he showed that he'd heard every single bit of doubt that was cast over him.

One thing Aaron Rodgers loves is proving people wrong...

  9. touchdown

Touchdown - Pantherspublished at 22:09 British Summer Time 7 September

    Carolina Panthers 10-23 Jacksonville Jaguars

Could be too little too late, but Bryce Young has just found Chuba Hubbard for a 27-yard touchdown to get Carolina back within 13 points. Just under five minutes left in Florida.

  10. Parsons is a Packerpublished at 21:57 British Summer Time 7 September

That's got to look good for Green Bay fans? Is Micah Parsons the biggest trade move ever?

He is the first Packers player to wear the number 1 jersey since Curly Lambeau in 1926. You know, the guy that founded the Packers and who their stadium is named after.

    No pressure then.

  11. field goal

Field goal - Pantherspublished at 21:56 British Summer Time 7 September

    Carolina Panthers 3-23 Jacksonville Jaguars

Cam Little has kicked another field goal in the fourth quarter so the Jets look set to hand new head coach Liam Coen a winning start

Incidentally, Jags rookie Travis Hunter has played on both sides of the ball, making one tackle on defence and taking six receptions for 33 yards on offence - the longest for 10 yards.

  12. field goal

Field goal - Packerspublished at 21:55 British Summer Time 7 September

Detroit Lions 0-10 Green Bay Packers

Brandon McManus kicks Green Bay into a 10-point lead with a 34-yard field goal, after Jordan Love took a shot into the end zone but couldn't find the touchdown.

That's a nice 10-point lead for the Packers early on though. And now we get another look at Micah Parsons....

  13. touchdown

Touchdown - Seahawkspublished at 21:47 British Summer Time 7 September

San Francisco 49ers 7-7 Seattle Seahawks

All square in Seattle as Zach Charbonnet punches it in with a one-yard run after a 10-play drive covering 69 yards.

Thanks two big haymakers these two NFC West foes have landed on each other early on - very impressive.

  14. touchdown

Touchdown - Packerspublished at 21:38 British Summer Time 7 September

Detroit Lions 0-7 Green Bay Packers

Perfect start for the Green Bay Packers as Jordan Love hits Tucker Kraft for a 15-yard touchdown on their opening drive of the game.

Love took his team 83 yards in 12 plays, finding six different receivers in a really confident opening drive - culminating in the score for Kraft, who they think could really be a star at tight end at Lambeau Field.

They also got first-round draft pick Matthew Golden his first catch in the NFL too...

  17. Bucs clinch win after missed field-goal attemptpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 7 September

FT: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 Atlanta Falcons

    Blimey!!

Michael Penix Jr. does well to get the Falcons within field-goal range, giving Younghoe Koo a kick from 44 yards to tie the game with six seconds left.

The South Korea-born kicker has been so reliable in these situations but this time he screws it wide to the right, allowing Tampa Bay to celebrate a hard-fought win.

  18. touchdown

Touchdown - 49erspublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 7 September

San Francisco 49ers 7-0 Seattle Seahawks
