Aaron Rodgers in his first half as Pittsburgh Steelers quarterack completed 11 of 14 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns - pretty nice effort that from the veteran.

The defence hasn't been quite as good, especially in stopping that Jets run game, but Mike Tomlin must be happy with how his new QB has started.

Thoughts on these New Orleans Saints uniforms? I'm not a fan to be honest, I'm not really sure what colour it is or what colour it's meant to be - a kind of an off yellow, faded lime green maybe?

It looks like the kit man left a yellow sock in the wash!

Spencer Shrader kicks a field goal as time expires in the first half, bringing up a nice stat for the Colts' new quarterback Daniel Jones.

The Colts have managed to score on all four possessions in the first half, something they've not done since the days of Peyton Manning - during their Super Bowl-winning season on 2009.

Is there a more brutal runner in the NFL than James Conner? He's scored a touchdown for the Arizona Cardinals who lead in New Orleans and he's also gone about slapping defenders about as he just loves to do.

An angry runs regular this guy...

  5. touchdown

Touchdown - Buccaneerspublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 7 September

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-7 Atlanta Falcons

After cutting the deficit with a field goal at the start of the second quarter, the Buccaneers are now in front.

Baker Mayfield made two completions to veteran receiver Mike Evans before finding receiver Emeka Egbuka for a 30-yard touchdown, his first in the NFL after being the 19th pick in this year's draft.

Only one team in these early games has failed to get on the scoreboard so far - and that's the previously explosive Miami Dolphins.

Is Mike McDaniel on the hot seat this season?

  7. touchdown

Touchdown - Commanderspublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 7 September

New York Giants 3-14 Washington Commanders

Some star rookies having good starts to their NFL careers tonight, including Washington's new running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt who scores his first NFL touchdown in his first half in the big league thanks to a six-yard rush.

Washington liked the rookie enough to trade away Brian Robinson Jr to San Francisco, and he'll join Austin Ekeler in the backfield at the Commanders.

Anyone take a punt on him in fantasy this year?

  8. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengalspublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 7 September

    Cincinnati Bengals 14-7 Cleveland Browns

After each team were forced to punt, the Bengals put together a 54-yard drive, capped by a one-yard touchdown pass to tight end Noah Fant.

  9. touchdown

Touchdown - Jaguarspublished at 19:05 British Summer Time 7 September

    Carolina Panthers 3-10 Jacksonville Jaguars

After intercepting Bruce Young, the Jaguars lean on their run game to get them into the redzone, where Trevor Lawrence hits tight end Hunter Long for a six-yard score.

Play is then stopped because of a warning of inclement weather in Florida, with 8:32 remaining in the second quarter.

Aaron Rodgers gets brought down by Will McDonald as he's sacked for the second time today by the Jets defence.

The Steelers now have to punt it away and will have to try and find a way to stop this growing Jets run game that's just starting to take control of the game.

  11. touchdown

Touchdown - Coltspublished at 18:51 British Summer Time 7 September

    Miami Dolphins 0-17 Indianapolis Colts

The Colts pull off a strip sack on Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to get the ball straight back after a touchdown.

Daniel Jones makes a couple of chunky completions to get them into the redzone before edging across the goal-line with a quarterback sneak.

  12. Young interceptedpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 7 September

    Carolina Panthers 3-3 Jacksonville Jaguars

The Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars had one possession each in the first quarter, each resulting in a field goal.

The Jaguars then have to punt but soon get the ball back as Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, the first overall draft pick in 2023, has been intercepted by Jags linebacker Foyesade Oluokun deep in Panthers territory.

  13. touchdown

Touchdown - Patriotspublished at 18:43 British Summer Time 7 September

Las Vegas Raiders 7-7 New England Patriots

I'm expecting a decent return from Mike Vrabel in New England this year, and the first touchdown of his tenure has gone in with Drake Maye hitting DeMario Douglas with a short pass into the end zone.

Play-offs for the Pats this year?

  14. touchdown

Touchdown - Coltspublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 7 September

    Miami Dolphins 0-10 Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts, now led by former Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, opened the scoring with a field goal in the first quarter.

Now Jones finds Michael Pittman Jr. with a deep shot in the second quarter for a 27-yard touchdown.

  15. touchdown

Touchdown - Jetspublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 7 September

Pittsburgh Steelers 7-9 New York Jets

Justin Fields has replaced Aaron Rodgers with the Jets and maybe this latest stop in his NFL career can be the one that sticks. He's certainly shown flashes, mainly with his running power but he's thrown a nice 33-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson to put the hosts back in fron in the Big Apple.

Can Fields be a success in New York?

  16. touchdown

Touchdown - Brownspublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 7 September

    Cincinnati Bengals 7-7 Cleveland Browns

Sanders scores for Cleveland - but it's rookie quarterback Shedeur hasn't suddenly been thrust into the action.

It's running back Raheim Sanders who punches the ball in from six yards to help bring the Browns level.

  17. Skattebo sightingpublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 7 September

New York Giants 0-7 Washington Commanders

We've got a Cam Skattebo sighting in New York, as the exciting Giants rookie collects a six-yard pass from Russell Wilson. He's also had a run that was stuffed and saw him lose a couple of yards.

But they still expect big things from him in the Big Apple this year.

  18. touchdown

Aaron Rodgers has his first touchdown as Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback!

It's a nice dart of a throw to Ben Skowronek for a 22-yard score to take the lead against the New York Jets. That must have been a sweet one for Rodgers after what happened to him in New York.

  19. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengalspublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 7 September

    Cincinnati Bengals 7-0 Cleveland Browns

Cincinnati had no trouble scoring last season, it was their defence that cost them a play-off spot, and with their big guns still in place, they're seen as one of those teams in their Super Bowl window this year.

They've just claimed their first score of the new season, Chase Brown running it in from five yards to cap a 12-play drive.
