It's a great thing for the Texans (that their offence isn't running at 100%). Win this game and learn from their mistakes. As long as the defence keeps doing what they're doing and the offence comes along next week, they are going to be a problem to deal with.

That's play-off pressure for you.

The Texans cannot make the most of their promising field position from that interception - but as Ka'imi Fairbairn drills home a short field goal, they do stretch out their lead.
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert needs something special over the next 12 minutes or so if he is to avoid more play-off heartbreak.

That's the second big drop of the day from Will Dissly. This ball is thrown well - he's got an opportunity to catch but it bounces off his hands.

Commentator's curse!
This isn't Justin Herbert's fault as tight end Will Dissly drops the ball and through comes Derek Stingley Jr with a 55-yard run on the interception.
Texans in the redzone and threatening to further their lead.

The Chargers are going to have to come out with some trick plays or something because they're hanging their heads right now.

That ought to settle Justin Herbert down.
Two laser passes to Ladd McConkey kick off this fourth quarter with two first downs.

The Texans defence is getting Herbert with pressure and disguised coverage. You had the corner drop back into cover two and Eric Murray goes out and replaces him and get the interception.
It was an overthrow but you can see the confusion on Herbert - it looked like he gripped the ball before he let it go.

What a time for Justin Herbert's accuracy to desert him. The Chargers quarterback was intercepted only three times during the whole of the regular season.
That's now two interceptions tonight alone - and that one was returned for a touchdown to make it a two-score game.
There's still a quarter remaining but in a play-off game, as tight as this, that lead could be enough to send the Texans through to week two.
LA Chargers 6-20 Houston Texans
Justin Herbert has to come straight back out and try to shake that pick six off as his team really need him now as the end the third quarter in a big hole - two scores down against a defence that's smothered them all game long.
This is Herbert's second play-off game, the first one he led 27-0 at half-time then lost against Jacksonville, can he engineer the comeback this time?
LA Chargers 6-20 Houston Texans
The pass from Justin Herbert to a leaping Ladd McConkey is too high and Eric Murray is there to collect the ball and then return it with interest for a 38-yard pick six!
Herbert came into the game with just three interceptions on the season, and he's had two tonight! One has cost his team six points - could it have cost them the game?
LA Chargers 6-13 Houston Texans
You know, some may not find it as entertaining as a shootout, but you have to admire the two defences on show out there in Houston today - they both really are elite units.
Both quarterbacks are under extreme duress, the two pass rush units have been smothering and the secondaries stinky and sharp. Such hard work for offences.
LA Chargers 6-13 Houston Texans
The Chargers defence is still scrapping away, as Joe Mixon finds out when he's smashed behind the line of scrimmage for a loss. Tough day to be a running back so far.
LA Chargers 6-13 Houston Texans
The Chargers are back out on offence but it looks pretty much the same as before with nothing much doing for Justin Herbert.
And on a crucial third down he's swallowed up in the pocket and then sacked for a loss of six yards by Denico Autry.
Quick three and out as LA have to punt.
LA Chargers 6-13 Houston Texans
Ka'imi Fairbairn converts from 37 yards to stretch this home lead for Houston. That was all a bit messy from both sides on that drive, but the Texans will happily take those three points after what looked like an interception.
That will be a bitter pill to swallow for LA.
LA Chargers 6-10 Houston Texans
A silly penalty on LA as Joey Bosa goes early, and with Houston well behind the sticks that's a terrible penalty to give away.
Joe Mixon gets some yardage back but at third and 22 all they can do is take off a few yards before attempting the field goal.
LA Chargers 6-10 Houston Texans
Hang about, the TV officials are having a close look at this and Derwin James did NOT complete the catch and Houston survive.
That could be massive, although a flag on the return on Joe Mixon means that the Texans now have a second down and 30. But at least they've got the ball...

What a play by Derwin James. I think Stroud wanted to throw to Nico Collins but he wasn’t there and then James came up with the big play.
LA Chargers 6-10 Houston Texans
CJ Stroud goes for broke with a throw into the end zone towards Cade Stover, but it's a jump ball and Derwin James rises highest to get two hands on the ball and bring it down for the interception.
