Aaron Rodgers' record against Minnesota is pretty good, but it's not even close to the most dominant QB record versus a single opponent, which unsurprisingly is held by Tom Brady.

He just owned the Buffalo Bills down the years with an incredible 33-3 record against them - but there have been a few others as well to mention.

    • 33-3 - Tom Brady vs Buffalo
    • 25-2-1 Ben Roethlisberger vs Browns
    • 13-2 Dak Prescott vs Giants
    • 18-3 Joe Flacco vs Browns
    • 17-3 Peyton Manning vs Texans

The two teams run out - the Jets to a chorus of boos and the Vikings getting a massive ovation. Not quite the home advantage of back home in Minnesota, but it's pretty loud.

Last man out is Justin Jefferson, who gets the loudest cheer of the lot - and his own fireworks off the roof! That's when you know you've made it...

  8. 'Both these teams can make the Super Bowl'published at 14:22 British Summer Time 6 October

Former NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew is a regular at the London games, offering analysis and colour from the sidelines, and he's relishing the first game of this year's series.

He told BBC Sport: “I said to Henry [Hodgson, NFL UK's general manager], ‘dude, who have you been emailing and talking to, to get the Vikings, undefeated, with Justin Jefferson and Sam Darnold and Aaron Jones, and this crazy defence of [defensive coordinator] Brian Flores, going against Aaron Rodgers? Are you kidding me?!’

“It’s a great match-up. I think both these teams can make the Super Bowl. At the moment, the Vikings are playing at a different level to the Jets but I think the Jets are creeping to that level. They’re going to have some mysteries as they go, just because Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been able to play a lot. But this could be the week when we see them take that big jump offensively.

“This is a star-studded game and I think the fans of the UK, all over Europe, all over the world, are going to be in for a treat.”

The fans are out in force and the Vikings have brought a strong European contingent who made themselves heard on their walk up from Seven Sisters to the stadium.

Dressed head-to-toe in Minnesota regalia, Bjorn has made the trip with a purple and white kilt and helmet from Solothurn in Switzerland, while Bjorn and his skull mask have made their way from Dortmund in Germany.

The Vikings in days of old were pretty dominant on their travels, and so are these Minnesota Vikings, who have not lost an International Series game in three outings.

They've got the joint-best record with the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants at 3-0, so today they could become the first team to win four games outside of the USA.

The Jets are 2-1 in their three overseas outings.

One man who believes 100% the Jets are going to win is lifelong fan Rob "Jetman" Fulmer.

He has flown over from New Jersey to watch his team win, having followed them for as long as he can remember.

"Aaron Rodgers is going to control the game, he's going to own this today for us," he said.

This should be a good game today, but where will it be won and lost?

The Jets have to protect Aaron Rodgers and give him time to throw, he's 40 and just got roughed up by Denver, keeping the pocket clean is crucial.

BUT, the Vikings lead the league in sacks and are a blitz-heavy side like Denver.

Sam Darnold just needs to keep doing what he's been doing, but Aaron Jones will be crucial today, as if he can get running early that will open up the passing game - where Justin Jefferson will be lurking...

Who do you think will win? Thumbs up for the Vikings, thumbs down for Jets.

Christian Wade, the Gloucester rugby union winger and former Buffalo Bills practice squad running back, has been chatting to BBC Sport's Nesta McGregor about today's game.

"I think the Vikings will take this one. [They have] great players - Justin Jefferson. He got paid [in the summer] and he's back in form already.

"You've got Aaron Jones, you know, awesome running back. He liked to watch him on the Green Bay Packers, he's a great player and then right now Sam Donald is on fire.

"The Jets have Aaron Rodgers and the defence is firing. I think it's really gonna come down to if they can get the offence flowing and the defence can continue to play.

"But right now I think the Vikings are the favourites."

The Vikings' last trip to London came early in their winning run of 2022, when they beat the New Orleans Saints 28-25 in arguably the most entertaining NFL game played in London to date.

They return against a Jets side hoping to make a long-awaited Super Bowl run having built a young, dynamic roster around veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

After his first season with the Jets was wiped out through injury, the four-time MVP has led the Jets to a 2-2 record so far.

Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell told BBC Sport: "There's nobody I respect more at that position. He's maybe the purest thrower of a ball we've had, and yet so smart because of his ability to see the whole field. You better be prepared and do your job because if you don’t, he can make you look silly in a hurry.

"I know the excitement the Jets had. It's great to see him healthy again. Playing against Aaron is going to be a huge challenge, but you've got to play well in all three phases against the Jets or you won't have a chance."

  16. Darnold rejuvenated in Minnesotapublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 6 October

Once among the worst rated quarterbacks in the league, Sam Darnold has been rejuvenated at Minnesota and has arguably been the best in his position so far this season.

He leads the league with 11 touchdown passes, and is now the highest rated quarterback in the league - all of which nobody saw coming after his first six seasons in the NFL.

Darnold has been poised, precise and making all the right decisions at the line of scrimmage - maybe it's his new coach Kevin O'Connell, maybe it's having Justin Jefferson to throw to, or maybe he is just finding himself.

At 27, there's still plenty of time left for him to make a serious impact in this league.

Growing the NFL brand is a huge part of why these games happen and that doesn't just mean catering for a European audience - plenty of Americans make the trip over and use it as an opportunity to travel to see a new city.

I met one family on their first visit to the UK and their first ever trip outside of the US.

"London's amazing, I want to come back as soon as I can," says Grace, who is here with her siblings Trevor and Emma, their mum, Lisa and friend Tessa.

"We're going to be 5-0 when we fly home!"

Khyree Jackson continues to impact Vikings after his death - O'Connell

What's made Minnesota's unbeaten start even more remarkable is that they've done it despite still grieving following the loss of Khyree Jackson right before they were due to report for training camp.

The Vikings selected the 24-year-old cornerback with their third pick of this year’s draft - and 108th overall - and he made a big impression during the off-season, but tragically he died in a car accident in July while back home in Maryland.

"It's still something I think about almost every day," Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell told BBC Sport. "You learn about what type of football character and personal character players have, and I think the most special thing about Khyree Jackson was his journey was filled with peaks and valleys.

"I have no doubt Khyree would have had an unbelievable, successful career and been a major part of our organisation for a long time."

This is almost certainly the last NFL London game for Aaron Rodgers and possibly his final season.

Can he turn the underachieving New York Jets into Super Bowl contenders?

BBC Sport spoke to linebackers CJ Mosley and Quincy Williams in pre-season about why the Jets feel now is the time to finally get back to the big game.
