On this tour of the West Indies, England have really seen how much of a 360 player Jacob Bethell is. Here's how many runs the left-hander has scored, and where, during the ODIs and T20s. Nowhere is safe.

So without Adil Rashid to control things and no Jofra Archer selected tonight, a big total could well be needed.

Bethell is showing the quality and ball-striking likely to entertain us tonight and for many years.

Roston Chase finishes his spell with unenviable figures of 1-47.

Three overs left, one from Alzarri Joseph, so England will likely look to go big from the other two.

A huge total is on the cards in St Lucia.

Three in a row and what a way to reach fifty!

Just 22 balls, four fours and four sixes.

    Talent.

    Short again, six again!

    Don't bowl there...

    Huge.

Too short from Roston Chase and Jacob Bethell can't believe his luck.

    A freebie, and six more.

  7. Eng 164-4published at 16 overs

    Lovely!

A deliberate edge is guided between the keeper and short third for another boundary to young Jacob Bethell.

Alzarri Joseph is not amused by that and follows it with a short ball, from which Bethell gets off strike and moves to 32 from 18 balls.

    Livingstone c Hetmyer b Motie 4 (Eng 155-4)

The filthy full toss works every time!

It's slow, begging to be hit for six, and Gudakesh Motie grimaces in anticipation of that result the moment the ball leaves his hand.

Instead, Liam Livingstone gets it completely wrong and with one hand off the bat, skews it straight to Shimron Hetmyer at deep square leg.

Given the damage that Livingstone has caused during this series, West Indies will be glad to see the back of him.

  9. 6 runs

    Eng 152-3published at 14.3 overs

    Wow.

Jacob Bethell drives crisply down the ground for four, followed by an absolutely monstrous slog-sweep for six. The most incredible sound off the bat.

Jacob Bethell and Liam Livingstone have batted together five times in T20 cricket before today for both Birmingham Phoenix and England.

    Previous partnerships - 68*, 48, 6, 90, 31*.

The light doesn't seem to faze Jacob Bethell.

He scoops Roston Chase for four more. England continue to accelerate despite the departure of their captain.

Full and wide outside off stump, and Jacob Bethell isn't going to miss out on that.

    Four runs.

  14. Eng 131-3published at 13 overs

There's no let-up for West Indies' bowlers as an in-form Liam Livingstone comes in at five.

He made a crucial 39 in Thursday's win but he was dropped three times along the way. West Indies will know they can't afford to make the same mistakes.

Buttler enjoys going through his full repertoire of shots of which just his reverse sweep has failed him, by his high standards.

That shot was the one that got him. A strong platform and all that but it needs finishing off by those now coming in.

    Buttler c Chase b Motie 38 (Eng 129-3)

    Sorry, Jos!

A crucial wicket for West Indies as Buttler is caught at short third, having timed his reverse sweep pretty well but the field is set perfectly for it.

A sigh of relief for Gudakesh Motie, who has taken some tap tonight.

Jos Buttler launches another six down the ground. He has raced to 38 from 21 balls.

Today was the seventh time England have scored more than 100 runs inside the first 10 overs of a T20I when batting first - they've passed 200 on five of the six previous occasions, only failing to do so against the Windies in the first T20I of the 2023 tour.

Jos Buttler breaks the shackles with a gloriously-timed six off Roston Chase, who loses his discipline for the first time and drops one short.

And Buttler reads the next one perfectly - it's fuller, so he goes for a cheeky ramp over the keeper for four!

    All class.
