    Notts 34-1 v Surrey 525

Freddie McCann has come out and quickly reached 23 as the 19-year-old gets four off the final ball of the afternoon session.

But Jordan Clark's wicket of Ben Slater is all Surrey will be bothered about after their huge 525.

The leaders will be looking to chip away after tea. All Notts must do is bat.

    Somerset 492 v Durham 150-4

Bas de Leeds turns Archie Vaughan for a single to bring up Durham's 150 on the stroke of tea - but the visitors need a good deal more to stay in this game.

Alex Lees remains unbeaten on 59, with De Leede on nine after those three wickets for Jack Leach kept Somerset firmly in control during the afternoon.

  3. 100 runs

100 up for Lancashirepublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 30 August

  5. Leach causing Durham problemspublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 30 August

    Somerset 492 v Durham 148-4

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Jack Leach has taken all three wickets to fall since lunch with his left-arm orthodox spin. He is causing Durham all kinds of problems in the heat of Taunton.

At at the minute Durham don't appear to have enough runs on the board compared to wickets lost.

Somerset were all out earlier for 492. Archie Vaughan then got his first championship wicket as Ben McKinney fell LBW just before lunch for 15.

After the break Alex Lees and Scott Borthwick added 61, but Borthwick fell in the 30s, as he has done regularly recently, caught at first slip off Leach.

The same thing happened to Ollie Robinson when he was on 26 and then Ashton Turner was bowled on six.

We have also just seen a ball from the spinner, which pitched around the front foot of Bas de Leede, find its way to second slip!

50 for Keaton Jenningspublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 30 August

    Lancashire 93-1 v Hampshire 389

Keaton Jennings nudges Liam Dawson away for a single and that brings up his 50.

Lancashire fans will hope he is halfway towards a fifth ton of 2024.

  7. 150 runs

    Colin IngramImage source, Rex Features

Well batted that man. It's not the first time and it won't be the last we say that this season about Colin Ingram.

The veteran South African is in sparkling form, with five centuries this season and he is closing in on his season best of 170.

He's 35 runs short of 1,000 runs for the season too.

    These are highly impressive stats.

    Yorks 601-6 dec v Middx 28-0

Yorkshire v MiddlesexImage source, Jonathan Doidge

It's fair to say Yorkshire are taking an aggressive approach as they look to press home the advantage of a 600-plus score on the board - look at this field!

One interesting aspect of the White Rose fielding positions is that it's Jonny Tattersall, not Jonny Bairstow, who is wearing the wicketkeeper's gloves.

  9. wicket

WARWICKSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 420published at 15:28 British Summer Time 30 August

    Warwickshire 420 all out v Kent 156

Not much sticking around from Ollie Hannon-Dalby as his off-stump is uprooted for a fifth ball duck.

Two wickets in the over for George Garrett, who collects three for the innings.

Warwickshire lead by 264, but remarkably it feels like Kent have clawed this back given that the Bears were 364-4 just after lunch with Will Rhodes and Ed Barnard flying.

The Bears take four batting points and three for Kent with the ball, but the visitors MUST bat better in their second knock.

  10. wicket

WICKET Rhodes c Evison b Garrett 201published at 15:27 British Summer Time 30 August

    Warwickshire 420-9 v Kent 156

There will be no career-best score for Will Rhodes!

He tries to heave George Garrett over the short legside boundary but he only picks out the fielder in the deep.

A shame as he ends six shy of his best ever 207 from the 295th ball of his innings.

  11. wicket

WICKET Rae st Finch b Parkinson 7published at 15:24 British Summer Time 30 August

    Warwickshire 420-8 v Kent 156

Michael Rae is not going to hang about. He comes down the pitch to Matt Parkinson, misses it by a mile and is stumped by a similar distance.

He almost does the splits in trying to turn back to his crease but he will not add to his score.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Turner b Leach 6published at 15:21 British Summer Time 30 August

    Somerset 492 v Durham 136-4

Jack Leach picks up his third wicket and Durham are in real difficulties now.

Ashton Turner had just lifted the shackles by taking a boundary off Leach, but the spinner's next delivery bamboozles him completely and turns to hit the top of off stump.

Plenty resting on Alex Lees from the Durham perspective, with Bas de Leede striding out to join him now.

  13. Derbyshire off to a horror startpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 30 August

    Sussex 607-8 v Derbyshire 5-2

After watching Sussex's batters send the ball to all four corners of Hove with ease, Derbyshire have lost two wickets for five runs inside four overs.

Harry Came and Brooke Guest depart without scoring, leaving Luis Reece and Wayne Madsen at the crease looking to make a better fist of it.

Tough times for Derbyshire at present.

  14. wicket

WICKET Slater b Clark 1published at 15:19 British Summer Time 30 August

    Notts 4-1 v Surrey 525

Perfect start for Surrey. Much less so for Notts!

A glorious start for Jordan Clark as he knocks two stumps out of the ground with his second ball.

A little bit of movement into left-hander Ben Slater and he is completely castled!

  15. 200 runs

200 for Will Rhodespublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 30 August

    Warwickshire 413-7 v Kent 156

Will Rhodes batting for WarwickshireImage source, Rex Features

Will Rhodes tucks one into the legside for the single he needs to reach his double century.

It's the second of his career and he is only seven short of his first-class best.

This knock has taken 291 balls and included 32 fours.

  16. wicket

His figures are 3-13 from seven overs.

    Yorks 601-6 dec v Middx 6-0

The Middlesex innings is under way as they reply to that colossal Yorkshire total of 601-6 declared.

Ben Coad and Jordan Thompson have sent down an over apiece, with Middlesex shaving six runs off the deficit - all in twos so far.

  18. SUSSEX DECLARE ON 607-8published at 15:09 British Summer Time 30 August

    Sussex 607-8 v Derbyshire

Dan Hughes 144, John Simpson 121, Jack Carson 97, Tom Haines 72, there were some big scores by Sussex's batters and they have decided more than 600 runs is enough and declared.

  19. wicket

WICKET Booth c Ogborne b Parkinson 6published at 15:09 British Summer Time 30 August

    Warwickshire 410-7 v Kent 156

It may be too late but Kent are starting to work their way through the Warwickshire batting.

Michael Booth tries to hit Matt Parkinson against the spin and is caught at cover as the ball loops in the other direction.

  20. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 30 August

    Lancashire 78-1 v Hampshire 389

Mohammad Abbas is brought back on and he almost has the prize wicket of Keaton Jennings.

The ball bounces on the Lancashire captain and loops over wicketkeeper Ben Brown's head.

But the 'keeper is up at the stumps to stop the batter moving out of his crease and Jennings remains.
