WICKET Wells b Abbott 6published at 12:56 British Summer Time 30 August

    Lancashire 12-1 v Hampshire 389

What happens when you're batting with a frazzled mind? You get out.

Luke Wells is out less than five minutes before lunch as he is bowled off an inside edge, attempting a big drive off Kyle Abbott.

The burly South African reaps the rewards for switching to a round-the-wicket form of attack.

    Hampshire's fine morning continues.

    Notts v Surrey 443-7

We are into the 127th over of this Surrey innings and Notts captain Haseeb Hameed decides to bowl himself.

It's his first twirl of the summer, so it perhaps shows how he is desperately searching for a way to end this innings.

WICKET: Bairstow b Hollman 160published at 12:53 British Summer Time 30 August

    Yorks 480-6 v Middx

It's been a great knock by Jonny Bairstow - but there's to be no double century.

Bairstow drags on to Luke Hollman, who's been the pick of the Middlesex bowlers again and now has his fourth wicket.

That brings Dom Bess to the middle after a marathon stand of 238 between Bairstow and George Hill, who is still there on 113.

  12. 100 runs

100 for Colin Ingrampublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 30 August

    Glamorgan 201-2 v Leicestershire 251

The man known as Kingram in these parts gets his fifth century in eight matches this campaign.

The South African is also the third-highest run-scorer in the division and will be eyeing top spot if he can add a few more.

Kiran Carlson is on 85 not out at the other end and it must seem like an eternity for the Foxes since they last got a wicket.

This duo have guided Glamorgan to over 200 from 27-2 in the ninth over.

  14. 'Red Rose frazzled by Dawson and Abbas'published at 12:49 British Summer Time 30 August

    Lancashire 7-0 v Hampshire 389

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire commentator

It appears Lancashire spent most of the morning trying not to get Liam Dawson out, and he gladly obliged by taking his score from 46 not out overnight to a brilliant unbeaten century.

Mo Abbas, who resumed on 0 this morning, was eventually out for one in what turned out to be a brilliant morning session for Hampshire.

The Red Rose appeared to look a little frazzled, uncertain of what best to do, fielders out and then fielders in and probably very frustrated.

Will that have an impact on Lancashire's batting? Time will tell.

  15. Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 30 August

    Yorks 472-5 v Middx

Still no sign of a wicket at Headingley, although Luke Hollman - who picked up three yesterday for Middlesex - is still getting the ball to turn and beat Jonny Bairstow with a googly in his last over.

However, Bairstow and George Hill's partnership now stands at 230 and the Yorkshire pair will be looking to stretch it as long as possible into the afternoon.

  16. Lancs begin replypublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 30 August

    Lancashire 7-0 v Hampshire 389

Luke Wells and captain Keaton Jennings have begun the Lancashire first innings after that chastening spell in the field.

Wells hits the first ball from Kyle Abbott for four, but he and Mohammad Abbas quickly settle into a rhythm after that.

Abbas is yet to concede a run from his two overs after his one with the bat in tandem with Liam Dawson.

    Somerset 492 v Durham 5-0

  19. wicket

WICKET Steel run out (Slater) 7published at 12:39 British Summer Time 30 August

    Notts v Surrey 436-7

A bit of a giveaway from Cameron Steel here.

He steers one out towards the point boundary and decides to take on the arm of out-rider Ben Slater.

The throw is unerring and South Africa wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne does the rest as Steel is short of his ground coming back for a second.

  20. wicket

Jordan Cox was released by England to play in this game but he hasn't lasted long.

He only scored three off 21 balls before sending a catch to Adam Hose at short mid-wicket.

It's been a good spell for Pears bowler Ethan Brookes, who has figures of 2-7 from 4.5 overs.
