  2. 150 runs

150 for Jonny Bairstowpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 30 August

On and on he goes... Jonny Bairstow is enjoying himself out there and he advances to 150 by steering Toby Roland-Jones for three on the leg side.

Bairstow has batted for more than four and a half hours, facing 178 balls and his efforts mean Yorkshire are well and truly in the driving seat.

  3. wicket

    WICKET Clark c&b Patterson-White 53published at 12:27 British Summer Time 30 August

    Notts v Surrey 418-6

Jordan Clark adds no more to his score after reaching his half-century.

He punches one off the ground and Liam Patterson-White takes a nice diving catch off his own bowling.

A first wicket in his 29th over.

  4. 50 runs

50 for Jordan Clarkpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 30 August

    Notts v Surrey 417-5

There are not many better county performers than Jordan Clark.

A fine pull-shot from the all-rounder gets him four runs off Rob Lord and brings him a fine 50.

It has come off 89 balls and he has read the situation very well after a brief flurry of wickets last night.

He and Sai Sudharsan have put on 106 for the sixth wicket.

  5. SOMERSET ALL OUTpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 30 August

    Somerset 492 v Durham

It didn't take long for that 10th wicket to fall, with Lewis Gregory the last man to go.

Gregory heaved Callum Parkinson into the hands of Alex Lees at long-off and now Durham have an awkward half hour or so to negotiate before lunch.

Parkinson finishes with figures of 4-136, having bowled 35.1 overs.

  6. wicket

HAMPSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 389published at 12:18 British Summer Time 30 August

Lancashire v Hampshire 389 all out

Lancashire were hoping it would take one ball this morning. It has actually taken 18 overs!

But they are finally out of their torment as Mohammad Abbas slashes one to point off Luke Wells and is caught.

Abbas goes for one off 32 balls, but the number 11 more than did his job in supporting Liam Dawson.

The Hampshire all-rounder leaves the field to generous applause for a superb 104 not out from 143 balls.

He began the day on 46 and added 59 more runs to the side's total this morning.

Wells finishes with 4-94 for Lancashire.

  7. wicket

    Essex 116-2 v Worcs 266

    Ethan BrookesImage source, Rex Features

Worcestershire bowler Ethan Brookes hits the top of Robin Das' off stump and the visitors have a much-needed second Essex scalp.

Das goes four runs short of a half-century and at a time when his partnership with Tom Westley was looking good.

Essex trail by exactly 150 runs.

  8. wicket

WICKET: Overton c Carse b Drissell 19published at 12:16 British Summer Time 30 August

    Somerset 492-9 v Durham

It's been pretty much free rein for Craig Overton and, having slammed two sixes and a four, he holes out to the long on boundary.

A first wicket of the innings for spinner George Drissell and he - like the rest of the Durham bowlers - will just want to wrap up the last one and put his feet up for a while.

  9. 100 runs

100 for George Hillpublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 30 August

    Yorks 442-5 v Middx

George Hill (Yorkshire)Image source, Rex Features

Delight for George Hill as he pulls Tom Helm past square leg and the boundary fielder's dive is not enough to prevent the ball from rolling across the rope.

That four takes Hill to exactly 100 from 169 balls - his first century in more than a year and this partnership with Jonny Bairstow is now worth exactly 200.

It's also a record sixth-wicket stand for Yorkshire against Middlesex, overtaking the 190 that Wilfred Rhodes and Maurice Leyland added at Bradford more than a century ago.

  10. 50 runs

50 partnershippublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 30 August

    Warwickshire 269-4 v Kent 156

Warwickshire now lead by over 100 and Ed Barnard has settled in alongside centurion Will Rhodes.

They have nudged their partnership up to 50 for the fifth wicket.

Kent badly need to go bang, bang and then bang, bang again.

  11. wicket

WICKET: Aldridge c Robinson b Parkinson 44published at 12:03 British Summer Time 30 August

    Somerset 467-8 v Durham

Kasey Aldridge has employed the reverse sweep a few times during this innings, but he tries it once too often.

This time Aldridge mistimes the shot and the ball loops up for Ollie Robinson to grab it behind the stumps, earning Callum Parkinson his third wicket of the innings.

  12. 100 runs

100 for Liam Dawsonpublished at 11:59 British Summer Time 30 August

    Lancashire v Hampshire 385-9

    And there it is!

Not sure anyone expected Liam Dawson to go from his overnight 46 to a century with only Mohammad Abbas for company.

But he has with no little skill and a mix of big hits and singles, taking 125 balls with eight fours and five sixes.

It's a 16th first-class hundred for Dawson, proving what a fine all-round cricketer he is.

Abbas has been with him for an hour this morning and scored ONE run.

  13. Postpublished at 11:59 British Summer Time 30 August

    Yorks 428-5 v Middx

A round of applause from the Headingley crowd as the 110th over is completed - not because Yorkshire have managed to scramble another batting point, but they've denied Middlesex another for bowling.

Had Middlesex taken another wicket before the cut-off, they would have claimed a second bonus point.

Their failure to do so means Yorkshire have already erased the three-point gap separating the sides at the start of play.

  14. Dawson into the 90spublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 30 August

    Lancashire v Hampshire 384-9

Liam Dawson lofts Luke Wells into the stands for his fourth six of the innings.

    He moves to 93.

Next ball, same result. Six more. Dawson is one away from a remarkable century.

  15. 100 runs

100 up for Essexpublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 30 August

    Essex 100-1 v Worcs 266

The hosts are into three figures, still for the loss of one wicket - that of Dean Elgar late yesterday evening.

Robin Das (39) and Tom Westley (28) have added 50 runs together.

  16. dropped catch

Postpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 30 August

    Somerset 461-7 v Durham

It must feel as though nothing is going Durham's way right now.

Kasey Aldridge raced down the track and hammered Callum Parkinson for six - but the bowler had an immediate chance to take his revenge later in the over.

Aldridge drove one back at him, just to the bowler's left, but Parkinson fumbled the catch. Somerset will now have a 500-plus total in their sights.

  17. Two short of a fourth pointpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 30 August

    Notts v Surrey 398-5

Surrey do pick up the pace as they reach the 110-over mark.

They need 10 off Liam Patterson-White's over, but they can only manage eight, so they finish two short of a fourth batting point.

Crucially, Notts claim just a solitary bowling point.

  18. 250 runs

250 up for the Bearspublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 30 August

    Warwickshire 250-4 v Kent 156

Ed Barnard steers one past the Kent slips and down to a vacant third man for four.

It brings up the first batting point of the innings for the Bears as they attempt to bat Kent out of the game.

  19. Somerset claim maximum batting pointspublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 30 August

    Somerset 452-7 v Durham

Lewis Gregory steers Brydon Carse through the covers for three to lift Somerset above the 450 mark - and that's their fifth batting bonus point.

Now it's a case of how many the home side can pile on, with Gregory and Kasey Aldridge well set, and they still have Craig Overton and Jack Leach to come.

  20. Division Two round-uppublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 30 August

Glamorgan pair Colin Ingram (77) and Kiran Carlson (61) are proving a tough nut to crack for Leicestershire in Cardiff.

They came to the crease with Glamorgan struggling on 27-2.

Sussex skipper John Simpson is on 62 as his side close in on securing maximum batting points at home to Derbyshire.

    They are currently 442-6.
