Aaliyah Alleyne looks a bit frustrated at the moment.

There is no one in world cricket who hits the ball off the back foot harder than Nat Sciver-Brunt.

  6. Eng 52-2published at 9 overs

Two boundaries in the over for Nat Sciver-Brunt. The second, played off her back foot while deep in her crease, races away to the rope. There was no stopping that.

Heather Knight is a tough battler to bowl at, as a spin bowler. She is someone who can play it all around the ground.

  11. Eng 34-2published at 7.1 overs

Applause all round as Heather Knight reverse sweeps Hayley Matthews for four. Delightful.

Nat Sciver-Brunt took it early. She came down the wicket and use her wrist to take the ball early and change that angle.

That's something that high-quality players are able to do. Rather than sit there and letting them bowl at you, you find a way.

  13. Eng 30-2published at 7 overs

It's a productive over for England with six runs coming from it.

Nat Sciver-Brunt steps down to Afy Fletcher and times a drive exquisitely for four - England's first boundary since the second over.

Bowler to dismiss Sophia Dunkley on most occasions in all T20s:

    • Six - Hayley Matthews
    • Five - Amelia Kerr

All credit to West Indies. They have been excellent with the ball so far.

  17. Eng 24-2published at 6 overs

    Sciver-Brunt 15, Knight 2

It's the end of the powerplay and England are two wickets down and scoring at under a run a ball.

Debutant Jahzara Claxton has conceded just two runs from her first two overs in international cricket.

England are under real pressure in this powerplay. But there's still plenty of class to come from them.

  19. Eng 23-2published at 5 overs

West Indies will be delighted with their start, removing both England openers in the first five overs. A little bit of a rebuilding job is required by Knight and Sciver-Brunt, the captains past and present.

England were bowled out for 104 by Sri Lanka in their most recent T20I at Chelmsford. Just thought I'd mention it...

You can see there was a bit of cat and mouse there. Hayley Matthews was tossing it up and then that one gripped and turned. It was a really nice take from Mandy Mangru as well.
