    A second England wicket falls!

Hayley Matthews gives the ball a lot of flight and gets an edge off Sophia Dunkley, who is caught behind. Was it bat or glove? Either way, she's gone and Heather Knight is walking out to bat inside five overs.

West Indies are really in the game here.

You can see England are trying to take them on through Nat Sciver-Brunt but another wicket could keep things contained.

  3. Eng 18-1published at 4 overs

West Indies' fielding has been solid in these opening stages. Wicketkeeper Mandy Mangru is the latest to impress, making a sharp change of direction as Sophia Dunkley takes a big swing and miss at a short ball.

Dunkley does finally get off the mark with a single.

Hayley Matthews, cap on, enters the bowling attack.

It's been a mishmash start this.

We have seen some lovely shots from Nat Sciver-Brunt but other than that, it's been some really nice bowling from West Indies.

Hayley Matthews makes an early bowling change with 19-year-old debutant Jahzara Claxton coming into the attack.

  6. Eng 13-1published at 3 overs

Sophia Dunkley has only faced two deliveries in the opening three overs.

Nat Sciver-Brunt seems keen because she spared the first few wide ones but she is starting to move her feet to get into position.

She looks like she wants to score big today. If she gets going, this could be fun.

  8. Eng 10-1published at 2 overs

West Indies are throwing themselves around in the field early on.

Captain Hayley Matthews leads by example, putting in a couple of big dives to limit Nat Sciver-Brunt to just nine runs (two boundaries) off the over.

The England skipper has started brightly.

I really like Jannillea Glasgow's bowling action but she really struggled with that width in the first game in Canterbury.

  10. Eng 5-1published at 1.1 overs

That's the first boundary of the day for England, Nat Sciver-Brunt guiding a wide delivery from Jannillea Glasgow through cover point for four.

That will settle a few nerves.

Eleven of Danni Wyatt-Hodge's 22 ducks in T20Is have been first-ball ducks.

Her 22 ducks is the most in men's and women's T20Is.

It's still quite overcast here but we are hoping the rain will stay away because this could be an exciting game.

In the five Women’s T20Is hosted at the Country Ground in Chelmsford since the start of 2019, teams have scored at 7.76 runs per over (rpo) - the quickest of all venues in England to have hosted three or more games in the timeline.

Across all venues in the world in the format, of the 119 venues to have hosted five or more matches in Women’s T20I since the start of 2019, Chelmsford at 7.76 rpo is the fourth quickest after North Sydney Oval (8.50 rpo), DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai (8.42 rpo) & Willowmoore Park in Benoni (8.16 rpo).

  14. Eng 1-1published at 1 over

England are off the mark with a single for captain Nat Sciver-Brunt off the penultimate ball of the over.

But the big news is the early wicket of Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who has now been dismissed for a golden duck in back-to-back matches.

Zaida James has bowled an absolute beauty.

What a start to this game. That was not in the script!

What a start for West Indies!

Danni Wyatt-Hodge goes for a big drive but is completely deceived by a beautiful delivery from Zaida James, who roars with delight as the ball cannons into the stumps.

I think that's woken everyone up. Nat Sciver-Brunt probably didn't expect to be walking out so soon.

We talk about England wanting to be ruthless. We saw them winning these sort of matches during the last cycle but when they face teams like Australia or play in the T20 World Cup finals, they fall off.

These are the sort of games, when you bat first, you really have to put your foot to it. It's an opportunity to score good runs on a good surface.

The players and umpires are out, so it's nearly time to get under way at a cloudy Chelmsford - fingers crossed the rain stays away

England have an excellent record at Chelmsford, winning 11 of their 13 T20Is. However, they did lose to Sri Lanka by eight wickets in their most recent T20I on the ground...

Issy Wong bowled brilliantly in the last game. I think they just want to take the pace off the ball in these conditions. Sarah Glenn has got the ability to angle it in at the off stump.

Wong has had a good opportunity and done OK and it's just an opportunity to make a tactical change.
