    Tidy punch through the covers from Kusal Mendis, deserves four, only picks up three.

    Rathnayake, who made a first-class high score of 72 in the first innings, follows up with a four, crashing the ball through point.

    The Sri Lanka all-rounder had looked very uncomfortable in the last half hour or so, and after being dropped a few overs ago he offers up another chance.

    It's a leading edge as he tried to turn the ball into the leg side, spooning up to point and taken by a diving Matty Potts.

    I think there's movement and a real glow on one side of the ball. It's swinging around and it's becoming more difficult.

    Chris Woakes almost immediately cashes in one of the wickets I hold in my gift, as Angelo Mathews has an ugly waft at a ball that moved a little.

    The England all-rounder then closes with an absolute ripper past Mathews' outside edge.

    It's frustrating for England. We're saying Sri Lanka need to concentrate, but England do as well.

    Kamindu Mendis flashes to Gus Atkinson at point, it's a tough chance low to his left but he manages to get two hands on it and therefore, should be taken.

    Mathews averages 55 against the short ball in his Test career and hasn't been dismissed by the short ball in England. Seven of his 10 dismissals to pace in England have come on a good length (6-8m), the same length that forced the edge off Potts.

    That drop aside, there are encouraging signs for England because the ball is starting to move.

    Both Atkinson and Potts have got the ball nipping around all of a sudden, as a bit more cloud comes over.
