  1. NZ 81-5published at 14 overs

    Need 69 off 36 balls

Obviously the first ball wasn't Romario Shepherd's fault, so it isn't really a good comeback, but the final five balls of the over only cost two runs.

That pushes the required run-rate up further. It's 11.50 now.

New Zealand are going to have to go soon.

It's Johnson Charles and the ball has gone right through his hands for six.

That is really poor. Is that the moment where things turn for New Zealand?

  3. Neesham dropped on onepublished at 13.1 overs

    NZ 79-5

Oh dear. This is poor from Johnson Charles.

Jimmy Neesham flicks off his pads and Charles has to take a little step to his left at deep fine leg but he should still take the catch.

Instead it bursts through his hands and lands on the sponges for six. Could that be a twist?

    Thanks Sam.

After pace was so tricky to play earlier, it is now spin causing the problems.

The required run-rate is up to 11 an over now. It's going to take something special for New Zealand to win this.

  5. NZ 73-5published at 13 overs

    Target: 150

That six is the only scoring shot from Gudakesh Motie's last over.

The left-arm spinner ends with 3-25 from his four and has put the West Indies in a very strong position.

To see if they can finish the job, I'll hand you over to Callum Matthews.

  6. NZ 73-5published at 12.2 overs

    Target: 150

Glenn Phillips sets about making Nicholas Pooran pay for that error.

He gets just enough on the shot leg side and the ball carries over the rope for six!

He's taken two seconds to settle himself! Just run up to the stumps and break them, surely?

Nicholas Pooran had plenty of time to set himself.

At least some of the West Indies team can smile about it.

But, if he'd hit then the game would effectively be over with the wicket of Glenn Phillips.

  9. NZ 67-5published at 12 overs

    Oh dear, oh dear.

Huge mix-up as Glenn Phillips drops the ball to leg and sets off for a single.

Nicholas Pooran runs from behind the stumps and had time to simply turn back and take off the bails.

Instead, he throws with just one stump to aim at, misses and the batters get home safely.

    What a chance.

Rovman Powell has seen the ball turn in this innings and calls for part-time spinner Roston Chase.

I say part-time, he did once take an eight-for against England in a Test match...

That is a huge moment in the game.

What a delivery. There were big celebrations.

West Indies are now firmly in control of this game.

Cleaned him up with a beauty!

Sensational from Gudakesh Motie! Drift, spin and Daryl Mitchell is helpless to stop the ball hitting the top of off.

The length brought Mitchell forward but just as he went to drive, the ball gripped and turned away from him.

    Just brilliant.

Gudakesh Motie will bowl the first over after drinks after wickets in his first two overs.

For New Zealand, the required rate has ticked above nine-an-over...

It is a tough one to call at the moment. I would slightly lean towards West Indies because they've got runs on the board and taken four wickets.

  16. NZ 58-4published at 10 overs

    Target: 150

Akeal Hosein is back on to complete his four allocated overs.

No five-wicket haul for him tonight but just three runs from his last and he ends with very tidy figures of 1-21.

Time for drinks. Windies on top but it's still anyone's game.

If West Indies go on to win this World Cup they might look back at Sherfane Rutherford's innings tonight as the catalyst.

  19. NZ 55-4published at 9 overs

    Target: 150

Glenn Phillips is the new man for New Zealand, joining Daryl Mitchell.

The required rate is still manageable but it is beginning to creep up.

What a very strange dismissal. For someone has got themselves a nice start and well set, it is a very odd cricket, especially with the man out.

He didn't go at it, trying to clear the ropes, it was almost like he forgot there was a fielder there and he picked him out beautifully.
