    Ravindra c Russell b Motie 10 (NZ 54-4)

Gudakesh Motie has another big wicket!

The ball was there to be hit on the pads but Rachin Ravindra hits it straight down the throat of Andre Russell.

No mistake from Dre Russ at deep mid-wicket.

New Zealand are in danger of throwing away a game that were dominating for much of the first innings.

New Zealand are in a tricky position at 50-3 but they are ahead of where West Indies were at this stage and have two more wickets in hand.

Risky single from Rachin Ravindra as he takes on Rovman Powell at mid-off.

A direct hit from the West Indies skipper would have made things interesting but the underarm throw is just off target.

Five from the Alzarri Joseph over and the required rate is up to 8.33 for the Black Caps.

  6. NZ 45-3published at 7 overs

    Target: 150

Daryl Mitchell comes in at five for New Zealand and shows no sign of being under any pressure whatsoever.

After a paddle-sweep for two first ball, he reverses his next and it gets past the backward point fielder for four.

The crowd were a little bit flat but now they've come alive.

That is a huge body blow for New Zealand. We said that Kane Williamson was the man.

What a HUGE wicket that is.

New Zealand are in a hole now.

Hello! That is an enormous wicket for the West Indies!

Gudakesh Motie into the attack and he gets the prize scalp of Kane Williamson!

A bit of turn, some extra bounce and Williamson tickles it behind on the cut.

New Zealand's T20 World Cup hopes are hanging in the balance...

There is no reason to panic from a New Zealand point of view. One partnership would break the back of this chase.

Kane Williamson is out to join Rachin Ravindra and after a couple of singles to end the over, the powerplay is done.

New Zealand are well ahead of where West Indies were at this point but after that wicket of Finn Allen, this game feels very delicately poised.

Finn Allen was always going to live by the sword and die by the sword.

He never looked that comfortable with the ball around chest height and with the up and down nature of this pitch it's probably not the way to go.

It's another body blow from the West Indies.

Big wicket and huge relief for Sherfane Rutherford!

A bumper from Alzarri Joseph gets on to Finn Allen a bit quicker than the batter expected and he is never in control of the pull shot.

The ball carries out to long leg where Andre Russell makes the catch look incredibly simple.

I've been calling for Alzarri Joseph and he immediately makes an impact, well he would have done if the fielder backed him up.

Sherfane Rutherford has had a good game so far but that is poor moment. You don't want to drop Finn Allen.

  17. dropped catch

Allen dropped on 24published at 5.1 overs

    NZ 34-1

Could this be a costly drop for the West Indies?

Alzarri Joseph comes on and Finn Allen skews his first ball high into the off side.

Sherfane Rutherford runs back from point, the ball drops over his shoulder and he can't cling on.

He has plenty of credit after what he did with the bat and that wasn't an easy catch - but he'll still have expected to take it.

Just a fraction of width from Akeal Hosein and that is all Finn Allen needs.

The New Zealand opener squeezes the ball through point for four and ends the over with a single muscled to mid-off.

I agree, Aatif. It feels like two teams that will know they are going to have to scrap it out because it could decide their progress in the tournament.
