  1. Ind 143-3published at 21 overs

I don't know, snark from Matthew Henry in the handover, slander about my moaning from Stephan Shemilt (at three overs).

For the record, I am a cheery fellow who talks about running to a healthy degree.

Rashid to continue, India take a trio of singles and a two from a smart Gill drive, one ball after the England spinner ripped a ball past the bat.

Gill requires treatment at the end of the over - cramp by the look of it.

It's time for me to leave you in the hands of Mike Peter...

Did you know he likes running? Haven't heard him mention it.

  3. dropped catch

    Ind 138-3published at 20 overs

Should this have been a wicket?

Shubman Gill chips a long hop from Liam Livingstone in the air. It's up there for a while but, down at long-on, Saqib Mahmood bails out of the catch.

To make matters worse he's beaten on the half-volley and the ball goes for four.

Livingstone has his hands on his head. I don't think Mahmood picked it up.

My friend worked with a student who brought in an whole octopus and microwaved it. This was in a pharmacy. Staff and customers hated him equally!

    Liam Livingstone is coming on.

I refuse to accept a kipper jalfrezi is a thing.

Axar Patel, meanwhile, heaves Jacob Bethell for six.

I used to go all-in... kipper jalfrezi in the office. Epic.

My wife refused to take a leftover fishcake to microwave at work yesterday for fear of upsetting colleagues, I'd have been all in.

My mum makes a mean kedgeree every Easter. I microwaved some leftovers in the office once and was almost sacked - tasted great though.

My boss has ate some very weird dinners, amongst them a cottage cheese and jam sandwich.

India have sent left-hander Axar Patel in to try to mess with England's lines.

They haven't needed much encouragement on that front so far.

As expected. Three reds and Shreyas Iyer has to go.

It's an important breakthrough for Jacob Bethell but has it come too late?

Curry in the office is acceptable. I worked with someone who would microwave kippers in the office, that is definitely not acceptable.

Fastest fifties for an Indian batter against England in an ODI run chase:

    • 29 balls - Kedar Jadhav, Pune, 2017
    • 30 balls - Shreyas Iyer, Nagpur, 2025
    • 32 balls - Sandeep Patil, Manchester, 1983

When he came into bat, WinViz was 50-50, right now it is 81-19 in favour of India.

Need 138 more runs to win

Much like Stephan's curry, England's chances continue to disappear at an alarming rate as Shubman Gill joins the boundary-hitting party. His latest is a steered four behind point off Adil Rashid.

Time for drinks and a rethink.

This has been a beautiful knock from Iyer. India were wobbling at 19-2, but without taking many risks, Iyer has wrenched control away from England. Without his wicket, very quickly this game could be as good as done.
