  1. 'What a knock from Orr'published at 14:51 BST 20 September

    Hants 188-4 v Worcs

    Nikesh Rughani
    Commentator on BBC Radio Solent

What a time for Ali Orr to get his 100 in the One Day Cup final. He's got their off 118 deliveries and at the moment he is the glue that is holding together this Hampshire batting effort.

As long as he's out there they'll fancy putting on a competitive score.

    What a knock.

Edged by James Fuller... and away to the boundary with no slips in place.

That was the most expensive over of the match with 23 coming from it.

Hampshire needed to put their foot on the gas and they have started to do so.

Four runs from the free hit brings Ali Orr his ton!

That was straight back down the ground.

It's his fifth century in List A cricket and third this season.

    Well batted that man.

  4. 'Take wickets keeps the run rate down'published at 14:46 BST 20 September

    Hants 175-4 v Worcs

    Dave Bradley
BBC Hereford & Worcester cricket commentator

Hampshire have lost wickets for 28 runs since the second rain break and as we keep saying - take wickets keeps the run rate down.

The new batsman has to get used to the pitch and the light.

    Bowled him!

Two from seven balls for the teenager and he departs.

Ben Mayes steps across to try another ramp shot but goes too far and the ball sails through to clip his stumps.

  7. Postpublished at 35.3 overs

    Hants 168-3 v Worcs

Hants hit 10 boundaries in their first 12 overs.

But that recent six from Ali Orr was just their fourth in the past 20 overs.

That shows you nicely how the scoring has slowed up in this one.

  8. Postpublished at 35 overs

    Hants 166-3 v Worcs

Ben Mayes - the new batter for Hampshire - is 17 yrs and 303 days old.

This is his 11th List A game and he's also played three T20s.

A good over from Ben Allison comes to an end.

Ten left for Hampshire - what will they see as a good score?

  9. 'A crucial wicket at a very important time'published at 14:37 BST 20 September

    Hants 164-3 v Worcs

    Shachi Pai
Former Lancashire batter on BBC Radio Solent

That is a crucial moment in the game as a dangerous Toby Albert departs.

He could have really made a big dent in the Worcestershire bowling leading into the last 11 overs of the game.

So a very crucial wicket at a very important time.

With trying to accelerate the run rate comes greater risk.

And Toby Albert has gone as he tries to go big to Ben Allison but doesn't get enough of it to evade Dan Lategan on the boundary.

A third wicket for Worcs and that puts Allison joint top of the wicket taking table on 18.

He has time to go outright top.

Six for Ali Orrpublished at 34 overs

    Hants 158-2 v Worcs

A first six of the match as Ali Orr sends one over the boundary rope!

If Orr were to reach 100, it would be his fifth in List A cricket and third this season.

  12. 'You can't take your eyes off it'published at 14:32 BST 20 September

    Hants 153-2 v Worcs

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

It's very interesting stuff out there at the moment, you can't take your eyes off it.

  13. Postpublished at 33.2 overs

    Hants 153-2 v Worcs

Toby Albert had his heart in his mouth there!

He is reaching a little as he tries to hit Ethan Brookes into the stand and his mistimed effort gives Tom Taylor a chance to make the catch - but the ball drops just short.

    Close!

Ali Orr is on to 78 with Toby Albert on eight.

  15. 'Stops and starts can be advantageous to bowlers'published at 14:28 BST 20 September

    Hants 141-2 v Worcs

    Michael Carberry
Former England batter on BBC Radio Solent

These stops and starts are very disconcerting for someone like Ali Orr. This is probably the third time he's had to start his innings.

It can be advantageous to the bowling side.

With all these breaks you've got to somehow try and grab hold of that momentum as quickly as possible. It's quite a deep batting line-up so I think that it's good that Toby Albert has come in, he's looked busy, he's moved around the crease.

  16. Postpublished at 31.4 overs

    Hants 141-2 v Worcs

The reduced overs and revised rules of today's match mean that Tom Taylor cannot bowl any more overs.

He's bowled nine overs and that is the maximum now permitted.

Hampshire will be pleased to see the back of him as he finishes on a very tidy 1-24.

We will also be offering full text and radio coverage of the final round of matches in this season's County Championship, starting on Wednesday.

Nottinghamshire - hosts of today's One-Day Cup final - need 11 points from their game against Warwickshire to be certain of their first title since 2010.

The format for next season has yet to be confirmed, but in theory any one of five teams could be joining already-relegated Worcestershire on the trap door with just 10 points separating fifth from ninth.

Should be an exciting finale for the 2025 season.

Giles: "Congratulations to Worcestershire on their impending County Championship Title (Joe Clarke, Jack Haynes, Dillon Pennington, Josh Tongue...did I forget anyone?)"

*We see what you're implying, Giles....

  20. rain stops play

'We've got a good game on our hands'published at 14:07 BST 20 September

Hants 141-2 v Worcs - rain stopped play

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Radio Solent

I think we've got a good game on our hands, 30 overs gone we're 141-2. The run rate had dropped below five, so they have pulled it back a little bit.

I just think with this format there are so many opportunities. The temptation is to think it's going one way whereas actually you can see it swing right back around.
