  1. 'Worcestershire have fought back well'published at 13:12 BST 20 September

    Hants 112- v Worcs

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

If you look back through the last 10 overs or so, one went for eight, one went for seven but all the rest have been fairly tidy for Worcestershire.

    They've fought back well.

  2. Postpublished at 24 overs

    Hants 112-1 v Worcs

Medium-fast bowler Ethan Brookes is back and, with Worcestershire keeper Gareth Roderick standing up to the stumps, puts in a tidy over. Again, just the three runs off it.

  3. Postpublished at 23 overs

    Hants 109-1 v Worcs

A good comeback over from Khurram Shazhad after the rain delay - just three runs off it.

  4. Postpublished at 22 overs

    Hants 106-1 v Worcs

The players have returned, as has the so far expensive Khurram Shahzad, who comes back into the attack from the Stuart Broad end.

We lost no overs during that shower, but it also means we now have no leeway for if and when the rain returns in Nottingham later today.

It has cleared for the moment and the ground staff have done a great job getting the covers off.

  6. Play expected to resume at 13:02published at 12:57 BST 20 September

Hants 106-1 v Worcs - rain stops play

    Some good news to report.

The umpires have had an inspection of the pitch and play is set to resume at 1:02pm if there is no further rain.

  7. 'Middleton might be a little bit happy'published at 12:55 BST 20 September

Former Lancashire batter on BBC Radio Solent

Fletcha Middleton might be a little bit happy. He seemed too caught up in playing sort of erratic shots. He got away with one which sailed over mid-off's head and was just out of reach, whereas his role really should be to take the singles as of now and get Ali Orr on strike who is comfortably set.

  8. 'Fine rain sits on the surface easily'published at 12:47 BST 20 September

Hants 106-1 v Worcs - rain stops play

    Shachi Pai
Former Lancashire batter on BBC Radio Solent

The rain doesn't seem that heavy to the naked eye for now but it's that fine sort of rain that sits on the surface quite easily.

The conversation between the umpires will be is it safe for the fielders more than anything.

While we wait for the rain to stop at Trent Bridge, who is the most exciting young player you have seen in the One-Day Cup this season? Ben Mayes - just 17 - is playing for Hampshire in this match, and they also had 16-year-old Manny Lumsden in their squad, but is there someone else who has caught your eye? Get in touch..

We had been expecting this and maybe we have done well to get 22 overs in.

Hampshire will be the happiest walking back to the dressing rooms.

  11. rain stops play

Hants 106-1 v Worcs - rain stops play

Just a reminder, we have half an hour to play with before we start to lose overs today.

We expected rain, we've got rain - let's keep our fingers crossed it goes away and comes back another day.

The brollys are up all around the ground and it looks as if it might be set it for quite a while here.

  13. rain stops play

Oh, it's not unexpected, but it's nonetheless always disappointing - rain stops play at Trent Bridge.

  14. Postpublished at 22 overs

    Hants 106-1 v Worcs

The final ball of the 22nd over is negotiated by Fletcha Middleton as the rain begins to fall and the umbrellas start to come out at Trent Bridge.

His 50 has included seven fours and has come off 62 balls, taking 85 minutes.

  18. 'Jones' hand must be stringing'published at 12:26 BST 20 September

    Hants 90-1 v Worcs

    Shachi Pai
Former Lancashire batter on BBC Radio Solent

That was right out of the screws.

It went at Rob Jones in a flash. What an effort, you have to commend the effort but his hand must be stinging.

Following a full delivery from Ben Allison, Fletcha Middleton flashes a drive but it is uppish and goes to Rob Jones at short extra cover who is unable to cling on one-handed.

It would have been a screamer and, in fairness, Jones did well to prevent four runs.

  20. Postpublished at 19.2 overs

It's been a long time since Hampshire hit a boundary as the Rapids have reduced the run rate to less than five an over.
