    Catch you then!

  2. Close of play at Headingleypublished at 19:03 British Summer Time

    Yorkshire 205 & 232 v Warwickshire 253 & 15-0

The end of another super day's action that's ended with both sides still fancying their chances of winning.

After Beau Webster's bulldozing half-century helped give Warwickshire a first-innings lead of 48, Yorkshire recovered from a shaky start and counter-punched in fine style.

Led by a typically classy knock from Joe Root, whose burden became heavier the more partners he lost, Yorkshire chased setting something in excess of 200.

A hundred on this 100th first-class innings for his county had a nice ring to it but, 10 short of the milestone with three wickets left, he miscued his skier was caught behind.

He was one of four wickets for Ethan Bamber, who was again outstanding for the Bears, as he collected nine in the match.

Michael Booth's pace and hostility was reward by pinning Harry Brook lbw, before he returned to eject last man Jordan Buckingham's off and middle poles.

Ben Sears and Ben Coad steamed in with the hope of knocking over either Rob Yates or Alex Davies in the three overs before the close but the Bears got there unscathed.

They'll resume needing 170 more to win.

  3. Division Two latestpublished at 19:02 British Summer Time

Stumps at Sophia Gardens sees Derbyshire trailing hosts Glamorgan by 216 runs with three first innings wickets in tact.

Derbyshire pair Luis Reece and Alex Thomson resume in the morning have strung together a handy 43 run partnership for the eighth wicket.

A rollercoaster game at Leicester where the hosts Leicestershire first innings 304 has been followed by 191 from Northants and then 96-6 in the hosts' second dig (Ben Sanderson with 5-51) indicates a fast deteriorating surface.

With a lead of 209 Leicestershire's first use of that surface looks likely to prove decisive.

At Old Trafford, Lancashire have found Glocestershire stubborn opponents. After taking their overnight from 342-5 to 450 (Marcus Harris 167) the Red Rose made just two inroads with the visitors closing on 184-2.

Ollie Price and Miles Hammond have both passed 50 with Glocs trailing by 266 runs.

  4. Postpublished at 18:57 British Summer Time

    Yorkshire 205 & 232 v Warwickshire 253 & 7-0

Ben Coad is a bit too leg side with his second ball and Alex Davies helps it down to fine leg for the Bears' first boundary.

He's almost embarrassed next ball as he leaves one that almost tickles off his off bail. Unbelievably close. Put that one down to a good leave, I think.

After a single, Rob Yates isn't required to play at the final ball.

    Final over coming up.

  5. Postpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time

    Yorkshire 205 & 232 v Warwickshire 253 & 1-0

Woah. First ball of the run chase and Rob Yates has thrown all the kitchen units at that one.

It's short and a touch wide from Ben Sears but Yates is over the top of it with a cut and is so close to grazing it through to Jonny Bairstow.

They collect a leg bye to get the score going and Alex Davies doesn't have to play much of the remaining deliveries.

    Two overs left.

  6. wicket

WICKET - Yorkshire 232 all outpublished at 18:40 British Summer Time

    Buckingham b Booth 1 (Yorkshire 205 & 232 v Warwickshire 253)

It's a wrap. Yorkshire all out with the dismissal of Jordan Buckingham.

Michael Booth cleans Buckingham up in fine style, obliterating the stumps with a full, fast one.

Warwickshire need 185 to win. They'll have three overs tonight.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time

    Sears c Mousley b Bamber 1 (Yorkshire 205 & 229-9 v Warwickshire 253)

    Ben Sears perishes.

He tried to lift it over cover rather ambitiously and gets a thick outside edge that arcs towards deep point and Dan Mousley takes a good tumbling catch.

Nine down. Nine in the match for Ethan Bamber. The lead is 181.

  8. 'Essex's day'published at 18:32 British Summer Time

    Somerset 145 v Essex 206 & 163-4 - close

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

It's very much has been Essex's day.

Pretty feckless batting performance from Somerset this morning albeit on a pitch that was giving bowlers a lot more assistance at stage in the game than it has later on.

They plugged away with the ball but the pitch has flattened out certainly for the seamers.

Essex have batted very, very well in their second innings and the momentum has very much been with them all day.

Somerset already know that they are going to have to bat their socks off second time around if they're going to save this game.

  9. Postpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time

    Yorkshire 205 & 220-8 v Warwickshire 253

Ben Coad is getting well seasoned here by Michael Booth.

Most of the over is in the bowler's half as the South African tests Coad's technique and courage.

After talking a few blows, including one the hand that needed a trip from the physio and a couple of painkillers, he manages to steer a leg-stump full toss through cover for four.

  10. Close of play at Southamptonpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time

    Hampshire 112-1 (trail by 399 runs) v Durham 511

Hampshire bat out the final over of the day, a maiden from George Drissell, with Nick Gubbins (38) and Mark Stoneman (54) discussing the finer points of it as they retire to the dressing room.

The chat will almost be that there have been precious few moments of concern and nothing for the bowlers to hang their hats on in this pitch and, as things stand, this has a feel of 500 plays 500 about it.

Just the one wicket to fall in Hampshire's reply with Fletcha Middleton edging Matthew Potts to first slip and very little else.

Durham's Australian import Brendan Doggett left the field with what looked like a knee injury after slipping in the field. Going a man down on this pitch is not great news but they will hopefully get him back upright overnight.

Both teams will be hoping that the pitch starts to do a little bit more on day three and spark some life into a contest that is flatlining already.

  11. Division Two latestpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time

Bad light has ended play early at Lord's, but Kent will be pleased with their day's work. They close on 226-4, leading by 117, with Daniel Bell-Drummond unbeaten on 103.

Leicestershire's second innings continues to wobble against Northants. They're 83-6 but have a handy advantage of 196.

Ollie Price and Miles Hammond are going along well for Gloucestershire at Lancashire. They've taken the visitors to 172-2.

Glamorgan remain in the driving seat against Derbyshire who are 207-7 and trailing by 224 at Sophia Gardens.

  12. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time

    Yorkshire 205 & 222-8 v Warwickshire 253

Oh dear. Warwickshire should've had a ninth. Michael Booth for the umpteenth time puts in the right area and Ben Sears gets an obliging edge.

It flies very comfortably to the buckets of Beau Webster at second slip but he's grassed it.

    A shock, that.

  13. wicket

Close of play at Tauntonpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time

    Critchley c Gregory b Leach 28 (Somerset 145 v Essex 206 & 163-4)

And that is the close with Jack Leach finally getting some reward for a decent display, Matt Critchley pushing hard at a nicely flighted delivery that leaves him and settles, via the edge, in Lewis Gregory's hands at slip.

Critchley will be annoyed with himself after that rush of blood in the final over but he was pretty fortunate still to be there at the death given an earlier lbw shout from Leach which looked very close.

Somerset are right behind the eight ball here with the lead already up to 224 (with six wickets still standing) and with the pitch offering significant help.

It is telling that Jordan Cox, who walks back unbeaten on 61, has the only half century of the match so far. He has batted with aggression but with good sense as well and much more of him in the morning could prove fatal for the hosts.

  14. 'Warwickshire get the most important wicket'published at 18:19 British Summer Time

    Yorkshire 205 & 219-8 v Warwickshire 253

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Joe Root tried to hit it over mid-wicket and he's out for 90.

Caught at backward point and it's a third wicket in this innings for Ethan Bamber and eight in the match now.

Root trying to force the pace has perished and it the most important wicket for Warwickshire.

  15. 'Somerset bowlers are operating in hope'published at 18:13 British Summer Time

    Somerset 145 v Essex 206 & 163-3 (lead by 224)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Just the very occasional ball now from Jack Leach biting and turning but has become very much the exception rather than the rule.

Somerset bowlers are operating in hope rather than expectation just at the moment.

  16. Postpublished at 18:12 British Summer Time

    Somerset 145 v Essex 206 & 163-3 (lead by 224 runs)

Migael Pretorius has bowled well without much luck and he has found none there with Matt Critchley getting a big inside edge which flashes past his leg stump.

Jordan Cox rubs salt by crashing a near half volley through mid off to move to 61 not out.

One over left in a day which nothing much has gone right for Somerset.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:12 British Summer Time

    Root c Mousley b Bamber 90 (Yorkshire 205 & 219-7 v Warwickshire 253)

Is that the match right there? Joe Root gone.

Root tries to pull Ethan Bamber over mid-wicket but it's a little low and it spoons off the outside edge of the toe of his bat.

Initially he's not sure where it's gone but his shoulders slump as he turns and sees Dan Mousely steady himself under the steepler at backward point and take the catch.

Typically, I'd just prepped a piece on what a great century it was etc. You'll never see it now.

Anyway, that feels huge. The lead is 171. Two wickets left.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Stonemanpublished at 18:07 British Summer Time

    Hants 107-1 (trail by 404 runs) v Durham 511

A single clipped off Callum Parkinson brings up Mark Stoneman's half century off 121 balls. It is the 74th of his first class career and been decorated by eight fours.

  19. 'Hampshire can't afford too many mistakes'published at 18:01 British Summer Time

    Hampshire 104-1 v Durham 511

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

No matter how well you play tonight and even tomorrow morning, you'll still be an awful long, long away.

Hampshire can't afford too many mistakes, not for the next half a day or so, more tomorrow, otherwise it will make it a very difficult last day.

Good tonight, good tomorrow and the last day will be a little easier because I think it's a fairly safe bet that Hampshire will be batting for the rest of this game.

It's all about preserving 19 wickets now between this moment and Monday night.

  20. 200 runs

for Yorkshire - a lead of 162published at 18:01 British Summer Time

    Yorkshire 205 & 210-7 v Warwickshire 253

Ben Coad isn't afraid on cashing in when he can.

In the last over he drove Beau Webster through the covers for four and in Ed Barnard's next over he's flicked him through mid-wicket for four more.

After pinching the strike, he laces Webster once more to the rope through extra cover.
