  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 65 balls left

    Scholfield c Southby 0 (Invincibles 28-4)

Two in two! It's a repeat - a bouncer, just a little bit straighter. Paige Scholfield gets a thin edge through and Southern Brave almost have this done already.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 66 balls left

    Capsey c Southby b Bell 7 (Invincibles 28-3)

It's all going wrong for Oval Invincibles.

Lauren Bell bangs the ball in short and wide, which I think it's sort of a plan in fairness to deny Capsey another strike down the ground.

Capsey nicks it through to the keeper.

This batting partnership is very important for Oval Invincibles. You have got Marizanne Kapp who likes playing those big shots and Alice Capsey who is very good with her touches.

I don't want to see Alice Capsey thinking too much about the big hitting at the minute.

  4. dropped catch

Kapp dropped on 7published at 16:54 British Summer Time

Danni Wyatt-Hodge is annoyed because she had the chance to pull off a catch for the highlight reels here - one handed diving full-length to her left.

Her team-mates applaud the effort anyway.

Oval Invincibles have got to be really careful here because things can go south quite quickly in this format.

We are halfway through the tournament, so you might lose a game but you don't want to lose it by a big margin and effect your net run-rate.

Oval Invincibles are getting into the realms of two runs per ball, which is a big ask.

Alice Capsey can change the momentum here by taking a few boundaries. If she manages to get two, three or four boundaries here then it is game on.

  7. Invincibles 23-1published at 70 balls left

    Capsey 7, Kapp 3

Better from in-form Alice Capsey, who chips Tilly Corteen-Coleman down the ground for four. They're going to need a lot more of those. WinViz is up at 92% in Brave's favour.

Southern Brave have taken the pace off so well. There have been a quite a lot of pace-off deliveries to start this innings which is working well.

It is making it hard for the batters, who are having to generate all of the momentum and power at the moment. Even the seamers are taking the pace off early. Oval Invincibles also took a similar approach, Phoebe Franklin did it really well.

  9. Invincibles 17-2published at 75 balls left

    Capsey 2, Kapp 2

Alice Capsey's frustrated swish of a glove sums up Invincibles chase so far. The powerplay is done and Invincibles have got nowhere.

  10. Invincibles 15-2published at 78 balls left

Marizanne Kapp finally gets off the mark from her seventh delivery.

Lauren Bell has come such a long way in such a short amount of time, it wasn't too long ago when she was playing for Berkshire. She is so talented and she shapes the ball away so nicely.

She has so much variation with the back of the hand and she has a really good slower ball.

  12. Invincibles 14-2published at 80 balls left

    Target 162

Lauren Bell ensures the pressure remains on to the weight of one of the big ships in Southampton harbour. Four dots and a leg-bye from the set.

A tough task is even harder now.

The highest target successfully chased by Oval Invincibles is 144 runs, against Northern Superchargers in 2022.

  14. Invincibles 13-2published at 84 balls left

Two of Invincibles big four are out already.

Can Alice Capsey and Marizanne Kapp mount a fightback?

That's a little bit of a loose shot! I can see where Lauren Winfield-Hill was trying to go but she was a little bit early and mistimed it.

There was no real intent there, she looked a little bit indecisive. A bit of a nothing shot for me, either under the eyes and hit the ball on the ground or a bit more bat speed and go up and over.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 85 balls left

    Winfield-Hill c Adams b Devine 10 (Invincibles 13-2)

Divine from Devine. She has a second wicket in her opening set and it's Invincibles other big opener Lauren Winfield-Hill.

A little bit of away swing means LWH chips the ball to mid-off. Georgia Adams takes a good catch above her head.

That's a great delivery! It has cut Meg Lanning almost in half and she was stuck in no man's land. You don't see that often from Meg Lanning.

It was world-class from Sophie Devine in her own right.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 88 balls left

    Lanning b Devine (Invincibles 12-1)

Some delivery! Sophie Devine with an absolute beauty that trims the top of Meg Lanning bails.

Devine gets a rugby tackle of a hug from Danni Wyatt-Hodge in celebration. That's how much the wicket of Lanning means.

Tilly Corteen-Coleman went a little bit full there. Lauren Winfield-Hill got straight down, her eyes lit up and she used her feet well to get that one off.

We've seen throughout this competition that momentum can get taken away from you very quickly though.

  20. Invincibles 12-0published at 90 balls left

Need 150 more runs from 90 balls

And Lauren Winfield-Hill takes advantage of the life given to her by the review system. She follows with two boundaries to really boot this chase into life.
