That ball was a little too short from Daisy Gibb, a half-tracker. Maia Bouchier was in a good position to hit that shot for four.

I don't think Daisy Gibb should look to swing the ball as much when she comes on next. It would be better for her to have a deep mid-wicket rather than a deep fine leg. I think that would be a better field set-up for her.

Daisy Gibb into the attack now - she's a 19-year-old right-arm seamer making her debut in The Hundred today.

She's somewhat unfortunate to be facing an experienced pair of England batters in her first outing - Danni Wyatt-Hodge turns a swinging delivery off her pads for a four through fine leg, then Maia Bouchier launches her over mid-wicket for another boundary.

The fascinating thing about the toss is even though Oval Invincibles won the toss and elected to bowl, the two games they have lost this year have been when they are chasing.

I was trying to think about why they would win the toss and bowl first, but if you look at this pitch it is fresh so there might be something in it for the bowlers.

It is a positive move because they aren't going by the stats and numbers. This is an aggressive move.

In the Women's Hundred at Southampton, teams batting first have won eight matches, whereas teams batting second have won 10.

  5. Brave 9-0published at 10 balls

Spinner Sophia Smale takes the ball for the second set of deliveries - the Brave batters work her for three singles before she finishes with a couple of dot balls.

That is a lovely shot from Maia Bouchier! She just chipped it over mid-on.

That's very important because she was below-par at the start of this tournament, but she did pick up some runs last game and she seems in good nick now.

  7. Brave 6-0published at 5 balls

Maia Bouchier gets under way from her third ball, finding two through backward square.

She then picks up her first four of Marizanne Kapp's last ball, lifting the ball neatly over mid-on.

I'm very excited for this match. Southern Brave are unbeaten on one side and Oval Invincibles are on a two-game winning streak.

The quality of cricket is improving season on season, with both the overseas and the domestic players playing a crucial role.

Right, let's get on with it.

Marizanne Kapp has the ball in hand for Oval Invincibles, while Maia Bouchier will face the opening delivery - she made 42 against Trent Rockets on Saturday after starting the season with three single-figure scores.

  10. Southern Brave target fifth winpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time

Georgia Adams' Southern Brave are the only unbeaten team in either edition of The Hundred this season, having won four games from four.

They sit second, below leaders London Spirit - who've played one game more - on net run-rate.

Brave take on an Oval Invincibles side who sit fifth with two wins and two defeats from their four matches.
