  1. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 12:38 BST

    Kent v Derbyshire 550-4

Derbyshire duo Luis Reece and Wayne Madsen continued to put Kent to the sword this morning, piling on the runs against the home side's beleaguered bowlers.

Reece hit 211 and Madsen 198 before both falling to Matt Parkinson.

  2. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 12:37 BST

    Yorks 28-1 v Durham 346

It has not been exciting stuff in Leeds with just 28 runs off 17 overs and Finlay Bean the one casualty for Yorks who trail by 317 runs.

The skies are blue over Headingley and batting should be easier after lunch but Durham are battling for their Division One survival.

  3. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 12:36 BST

    Northants 52-1 v Leics 429

Arush Buchake takes Northants to 50 just before the break in the 17th over, pushing Josh Hull into the off side for one.

The young opener lunches on 16 not out with Rob Keogh on 11.

  4. Lunch at Sophia Gardenspublished at 12:35 BST

    Glamorgan 265 v Lancashire 168-2 - Lancs trail by 97 runs

Luke Wells has guided Lancashire through the morning session nicely, reaching 56 at the interval.

Keaton Jennings fell for a frustrating 49 and George Bell is on 45 not out.

Timm van der Gugten continues his impressive individual performance, taking both of the Lancs wickets to fall.

  5. 'A fascinating morning'published at 12:35 BST

    Hants 246-9 v Surrey 147

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

All credit to Ralphie Albert there, first ball he's bowled to Kyle Abbott, he's just given it a little bit of air and he's hit it straight back to him.

Brad Wheal's job is to just keep Washington Sundar company.

    It's been a fascinating morning.

  6. Lunch at New Roadpublished at 12:35 BST

    Worcs 123 & 7-0 v Sussex 350

Rehaan Edavalath and Jake Libby fend off two tricky overs from Ollie Robinson and Jaydev Unadkat to walk off unbeaten at lunch.

Worcs still face a mountain trailing by 220 runs after Sussex reached 350, dragged in no small part to that round number by John Simpson's 129 not out.

All to do for the relegated hosts in a second session with the ball still new and the bowlers refreshed.

  7. Lunch at Chelmsfordpublished at 12:33 BST

    Essex 8-0 v Somerset 433

Four slips in for Dean Elgar.

The opener is off the mark second ball with a leg stump half volley, deflected away for four.

Paul Walter drives Jake Ball straight but hasn't timed it and Ball does the fielding.

The last ball of the over is wide of off stump and swatted away for four.

    That's lunch.

  8. Another starring role for Simpsonpublished at 12:33 BST

    Worcs 123 & 5-0 v Sussex 350

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

How appropriate that John Simpson should be at the crease when Sussex secure their third batting bonus point and with it retain their first division status

The Sussex skipper's innings was a masterclass, coming to crease with his side struggling on 67-4, and departing unbeaten as his side reached 350.

Only two visiting players have scored centuries here this season, James Coles yesterday and Simpson today, both high class innings with shots all round the wicket.

This was the 19th first class hundred of Simpson's career, and incredibly the ninth since he joined Sussex last season.

  9. Postpublished at 12:30 BST

    Notts 86-2 v Warwicks 258

A bit leg side from Nathan Gilchrist and Joe Clarke tucks the ball away for two.

Lunch will be at the slightly later time of 12:40 after we lost a few overs yesterday.

Two down would be a good effort in largely testing conditions with some skilful Warwickshire bowling.

  10. Essex begin their first inningspublished at 12:28 BST

    Essex 0-0 v Somerset 433

Dean Elgar opens the innings with Paul Walter.

Elgar takes first strike, facing Craig Overton.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Haseeb Hameedpublished at 12:27 BST

    Notts 83-2 v Warwicks 258

The Notts captain has held firm in tough conditions.

He reaches a precious half century in 98 balls with a single pushed into the off side, facing Ethan Bamber.

    Nine fours.

His ninth score of 50 or more in a season in which he has scored three centuries.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:26 BST

    Abbott c & b Albert 1 (Hants 242-9 v Surrey 147)

A single taken by Washington Sundar brings up a half century off 89 deliveries for the India international.

But Ralphie Albert needs just one ball to dismiss Kyle Abbott as the batter drives straight back to the spinner.

The teenager has 2-6 from five overs now and Hants are still eight away from the first batting point.

  13. SOMERSET ALL OUT FOR 433published at 12:20 BST

    Essex v Somerset 433

A leg side half volley from Charlie Bennett which Lewis Goldsworthy tries to scoop over long on.

Caught at deep square leg by Charlie Allison.

A very good score for Somerset on a more than decent surface.

Bennett finishes on 3-73 and Goldsworthy departs for 100.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:18 BST

    Currie b Albert 1 (Hants 238-8 v Surrey 147)

And the 17-year-old debutant has his first first class wicket and to be fair to Ralphie Albert it was coming.

He has bowled four overs with one maiden and now has 1-5 as Scott Currie just plays inside one which turns and clips off stump.

Albert punches the air and is mobbed by his teammates.

  15. wicket

SUSSEX 350 ALL OUTpublished at 12:17 BST

    Unadkat lbw b Waite 0 (Worcs 123 v Sussex 350)

Jaydev Unadkat has lasted two deliveries and fallen on the second to give Worcs a nasty little two overs spell to face before lunch.

John Simpson walks off unbeaten with 129 and the lead for his side is 227 which has defeat stamped all over it for the hosts.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:17 BST

    McManus c Van Beek b Holland 25 (Northants 36-1 v Leics 429)

    Short ball from Ian Holland.

Lewis McManus tries to hook fine and is caught in the deep by Logan van Beek.

Rob Keogh is in at three for the hosts.

  17. 200 runs

200 for Leus du Plooypublished at 12:16 BST

    Middlesex 491-7 v Glos

Double tons are all the rage now as Middlesex's Leus du Plooy follows Derbyshire's Luis Reece into the 200 club.

    Well batted skip!

  18. dropped catch

Hameed dropped on 45published at 12:16 BST

    Notts 78-2 v Warwicks 258

Four more to Haseeb Hameed, glancing a leg side ball fine off Nathan Gilchrist.

He survives an LBW shout against Ethan Bamber in the next over. Looked like inside edge on to pad.

He edges and is dropped at second slip by a diving Rob Yates.

    Just carried.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12:14 BST

    Karvelas c Isaac b Waite 20 (Worcs 123 v Sussex 350-9)

Short, reached from outside off stump and he has picked out the fielder at midwicket.

  20. 200 runs

200 for Luis Reecepublished at 12:14 BST

    Kent v Derbyshire 529-3

There is the double century for Derbyshire opener Luis Reece who has batted superbly.

He didn't have a County Championship century to his name this season before this final round of matches...

Reece is also the top wicket taker in Division Two - he can do it all!
