  1. Postpublished at 16:51 BST 25 September

    Notts 287-6 v Warwick 258

Kyle Verreynne (49 not out) was actually in the commentary box this morning, talking about being in the middle for the 300th run.

    Is this fate?

He's at the other end currently as Liam Patterson-White faces Ethan Bamber.

Bamber bowls wide and LPW leaves the ball alone.

LPW tries to force a drive through cover. No run.

He jams the bat on to the last ball and gets an inside edge to square leg for one.

  2. 'This ground is full of anticipation'published at 16:49 BST 25 September

    Notts 286-6 v Warwicks 258

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

This ground is so full of anticipation, the excitement with every run scored...

  3. 'The countdown is on'published at 16:47 BST 25 September

    Notts 286-6 v Warwicks 258

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Radio Nottinghamshire

Liam Patterson-White is enjoying this new ball, things just motoring along all of a sudden.

    The countdown is on.

  4. Postpublished at 16:47 BST 25 September

    Notts 286-6 v Warwick 258

Nathan Gilchrist will share the new ball with Ethan Bamber.

The first ball is full and punched through cover by Liam Patterson-White for four!

Four more smashed through square leg!

Goodness me, another four - this one flashed through cover.

LPW angles the bat to a wider full ball and deflects it to point for one.

The last ball is smashed through cover by Kyle Verreyyne! Four!

17 off the over. Notts need 14.

  5. LANCASHIRE ALL OUT FOR 374published at 16:42 BST 25 September

    Glamorgan 265 v Lancashire 374 - Lancs lead by 109 runs

Well that all ended quite abruptly!

Lancashire lost their last four wickets for nine runs and it's fitting that Glamorgan's Timm van der Gugten took the final scalp to claim a five-wicket haul.

Lancashire have a lead of 109 and Glamorgan will have to face about 17 overs this evening.

  6. new ball

New ball taken at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:42 BST 25 September

    Notts 269-6 v Warwicks 258

Ethan Bamber is bowling with the new nut and Liam Patterson-White gets a single off the second ball of the over.

Kyle Verreynne drives and that's a fine diving stop at mid off.

  7. Close!published at 16:40 BST 25 September

    Worcs 123 & 192-4 v Sussex 350

Another huge appeal off Tom Haines's bowling against Rob Jones on 29 but umpire Graham Lloyd is unmoved.

Jones immediately indicated it had missed the inside edge and Lloyd agrees.

Sussex's close fielders presumably trust both as their disappointment does not spill over.

  8. 'Fascinating to see if Notts can work the new ball'published at 16:40 BST 25 September

    Notts 268-6 v Warwicks 258

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

The next 10 or 15 minutes will be fascinating to see if Notts can work the new ball around towards their total, sometimes the scoring rate can speed up in these situations.

  9. Postpublished at 16:39 BST 25 September

    Essex 230-0 v Somerset 433

No let up from Paul Walter, who takes two more fours off the bowling of Jake Ball, driving down the ground and then pulling in front of square.

Dean Elgar is moving through the gears, lifting Archie Vaughan over mid wicket and glancing to backward square leg, both for four.

One over left before the new ball becomes available.

Liam Patterson-White taps the second ball to long on for a tight but manageable single.

A slightly short ball is swatted to long on for one by Kyle Verreynne, now on 45 not out.

A single to LPW, pushing to mid off.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:33 BST 25 September

    Lategan lbw b Haines 30 (Worcs 123 & 187-4 v Sussex 350)

The medium pace of Tom Haines has brought a big breakthough removing the well-set Daniel Lategan.

Despite the speed Lategan is just a little late on this as he tries to nudge it into the off side.

And the equation with bowlers like Haines is simple: you miss and I will hit.

Four down and still trailing by 40 runs.

  12. Postpublished at 16:33 BST 25 September

    Notts 265-6 v Warwicks 258

Dan Mousley is in the attack and Kyle Verreynne defends back to the bowler.

The second ball is clipped to long on for a single. Every run brings applause from home supporters waiting for a first Championship trophy since 2010.

Mousley is round the wicket and Liam Patterson-White flays the ball past Rob Yates at cover for four.

35 more needed for the 300.

  13. Postpublished at 16:30 BST 25 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 7-0

Seven runs off the second over, including a four slapped to backward point off a wide ball from Ben Whitehouse by Rishi Patel.

    The lead is now 247.

  14. 6 runs

Verreynne in the moodpublished at 16:28 BST 25 September

    Notts 259-6 v Warwicks 258

The new ball is available to the Bears in three overs.

Rob Yates drops short to Kyle Verreynne who swings the ball over mid wicket for six! Shot!

A single down the ground for one to move to 43.

  15. 'We'll have to see if the light holds'published at 16:28 BST 25 September

    Notts 256-6 v Warwicks 258

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

We've still got 27 overs remaining, we'll just have to see if the light holds.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Ben Charlesworthpublished at 16:28 BST 25 September

    Middlesex 634-9 dec v Glos 81-0

50 runs in 52 balls for Ben Charlesworth who has looked on it from the off today.

Glos may be trailing by an awfully long way but have made a good start.

  17. 'Sykes stayed on the crease'published at 16:26 BST 25 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 120-5

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It did nip back an awfully long way but Ollie Sykes stayed on the crease, that was his problem and he ended up just trying to get the bat on it.

  18. Postpublished at 16:25 BST 25 September

    Essex 200-0 v Somerset 433

Paul Walter is forward to Archie Vaughan, driving the spinner to long off for one - and that takes Essex to 200 in 47 overs.

A wicket is looking increasingly like an endangered species on a fairly benign surface.

  19. 50 runs

50 for George Baldersonpublished at 16:23 BST 25 September

    Glamorgan 265 v Lancashire 368-8

Amid George Balderson reaching his half-century, Glamorgan have taken two wickets in five balls.

Balderson becomes the third half-centurion in the Lancs ranks.

But, Glamorgan, as they have done all day, have been chipping away and have been picking up wickets in twos.

Timm van der Gugten dismissed Tom Hartley and shortly afterwards James Harris got his first wicket, removing Jack Blatherwick who only lasted two balls.

  20. Leicestershire begin their second inningspublished at 16:23 BST 25 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 0-0

Rishi Patel and Sol Budinger are ready to open the innings.

    Patel will face Justin Broad.
