  1. 450 up for Middlesexpublished at 11:42 BST

    Middlesex 450-7 v Glos

They have just missed out on maximum batting points but Middlesex reach 450 in 113 overs.

Leus du Plooy is eight away from a double century and presumably if he reaches that milestone his team won't bat too much longer.

The most recent wicket to fall was not one Zafar Gohar will want to watch back.

He chased a wide delivery from Graeme van Buuren and managed to chop it back all the way onto his stumps - quite a feat!

  2. Postpublished at 11:42 BST

    Notts 56-0 v Warwicks 258

Haseeb Hameed goes back to Ed Barnard, running the ball to deep third for two to take Notts to 50.

A single off the third ball and Ben Slater glances a leg side ball fine for four.

Notts are within 250 runs of the title. They can clinch it if they make 300 within 110 overs.

  3. 'This is a decent batting pitch'published at 11:40 BST

    Essex v Somerset 401-7

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Pitches have been a bit of a problem this summer, there has been a lot of pretty dead pitches elsewhere, but this is a decent batting pitch.

  4. Somerset pass 400 at Chelmsfordpublished at 11:39 BST

    Essex v Somerset 401-7

Jack Leach is forward to Simon Harmer, pushing the spinner into the off side.

That's the innings 400 in the 114th over.

  5. Postpublished at 11:39 BST

    Yorks 9-0 v Durham 346

Yorks openers Adam Lyth and Finlay Bean are not finding this easy against Ben Raine and Matthew Potts with a couple of good shouts for lbw turned down.

  6. Postpublished at 11:37 BST

    Notts 48-0 v Warwicks 258

  7. Postpublished at 11:34 BST

    Essex v Somerset 391-7

Somerset are cashing in on what looks like a very good surface.

Lewis Goldsworthy pushes Simon Harmer to mid on for one.

    He now has 80.

Jack Leach misses with an attempted square cut but survives the over.

  8. 'The bottom of the table could get very interesting'published at 11:33 BST

    Hants 194-6 v Surrey 147

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It's still interestingly poised all this. With Nottinghamshire and Surrey we've kept an eye on the top of the table but the bottom of the table could get very interesting.

Hampshire have put themselves under a little bit of pressure this morning due to some good Surrey bowling, there was nothing wrong with the batting

A good nut from Tom Taylor who takes a fourth of the innings with one that cramps up Ollie Robinson and is on his off stump before he can jab a defence down.

He now has 4-88 and has extended his lead at the top of the Division One wicket taking charts from Kyle Abbott and Jack Leach.

    Notts 39-0 v Warwicks 258

Haseeb Hameed has one hand off the bat going forward and the ball runs off a thick edge wide of the slips for two.

A play and a miss! Hameed takes a moment to compose himself before the next ball. He sees out the over.

No rest for Ben Raine who takes off his pads, might have a quick cup of coffee if he's lucky, and rummages for his bowling boots.

  17. Superb effort from Raine but Durham miss out on third pointpublished at 11:17 BST

    Durham 346 v Yorkshire

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have missed out on a third batting point by just four runs, as Jack White took three wickets on the second morning of this match to pick up his first five wicket haul for Yorkshire.

He took two wickets in a maiden over in the fourth over of the day. He took Matty Potts' middle stump out of the ground when he was on 31. That ended an excellent stand for the eighth wicket with Ben Raine at 87 runs.

White then bowled Daniel Hogg for a fourth ball duck and a few overs later saw off Ben Raine for 101. Raine looked to pull the ball through the legside but edged down to George Hill at third man. White finished with figures of 20.2 overs, 5-69.

How important could that missed point prove to be come the end of the game and relegation though?

Durham survived relegation here on the final day of the 2006 season - by half a point! A nervy couple of days beckon.

  18. Jennings falls for 49published at 11:16 BST

    Glamorgan 265 v Lancashire 91-1

Keaton Jennings has just fallen one short of a half-century as Lancashire lose their first wicket of the innings.

  20. LEICESTERSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 429published at 11:14 BST

    Northants v Leics 429

George Scrimshaw wraps up the innings with a short ball that Josh Hull feathers to captain-keeper Lewis McManus down the leg side.

    Back in a few minutes.
