  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:23 BST 25 September

    Skyes b Abbott 1 (Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 120-5)

He's made a right mess of those stumps.

This has swung right in at his pads and with Ollie Sykes anchored his effort to keep it out fails miserably.

Abbott wheels through in celebration past a set of stumps that look like they have been blown up.

He has 3-31 in this second innings and is breaking this game open.

  2. Postpublished at 16:23 BST 25 September

    Notts 250-6 v Warwicks 258

Rob Yates is round the wicket to Liam Patterson-White, who drives for a single to bring up the 250 and a batting point.

One more needed before 110 overs are bowled to seal the Division One Championship and a deserved round of applause from the Notts supporters.

  3. 'There's still a game to be won'published at 16:22 BST 25 September

    Notts 248-6 v Warwicks 258

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Alex Davies has got another catch, his fourth of the day.

A little tilt in this match, there's still a game to be won.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:21 BST 25 September

    Bairstow c Robinson b Raine 0 (Yorks 203-4 v Durham 346)

A sloppy poke outside off stump at his first delivery and Jonny Bairstow is departing before he has had chance to remark his guard.

Ben Raine has two in two balls spread over two overs. Hat-trick anyone?

Er, no. His next is kept out by new batsman Matthew Revis.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:19 BST 25 September

    Jaes c Davies b Barnard 9 (Notts 248-6 v Warwicks 258)

Shot! Width outside off stump from Ed Barnard and Kyle Verreynne drives through cover point for four.

He gets a single off the next ball but now Lyndon James has gone, edging to the keeper and Bears captain Alex Davies.

He fenced at it on the back foot, bat pushing away from body.

Liam Patterson-White is in the middle now.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:18 BST 25 September

    Wharton b Raine 7 (Yorks 199-3 v Durham 346)

Ben Raine deserves this for his unstinting effort if nothing else as James Wharton's late cut plays on.

  7. NORTHANTS ALL OUT FOR 189published at 16:15 BST 25 September

    Northants 189 v Leics 429

George Scrimshaw departs one over later, driving a return catch to Leicestershire captain Ian Holland, who tumbles but holds on.

Chris Wright ends the innings on a career tally of 600 first class wickets thanks to his 3-19.

The follow on has not been enforced. Leicester resume with a more than useful lead of 240.

  8. Postpublished at 16:12 BST 25 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 112-4

And Kyle Abbott very nearly gets another in the same over, clipping the edge of Ollie Sykes's bat but this time seeing the ball die on Ben Brown and go in to the gloves on the half volley.

  9. 'Ball has dominated bat'published at 16:10 BST 25 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 112-4

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It's Kyle Abbott again and it's got rid of Ben Foakes. It's a good bit of bowling from Abbott.

This game really is an interesting one, ball has dominated bat throughout this game.

The only concern you'd have if you're Hampshire is that run scoring is still proving to be quite tricky and if Surrey can get that lead up above 150, even that could be a tricky old chase, but I think naturally this games is going to lend itself towards a result either way and possibly before the final day.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:10 BST 25 September

    Whitehouse LBW b Wright 0 (Northants 187-9 v Leics 429)

Full and angling in to Ben Whitehouse and he's struck on the pad in front of middle.

Chris Wright has his third wicket.

Nirvan Ramesh is in at 11.

  11. Postpublished at 16:09 BST 25 September

    Essex 194-0 v Somerset 433

Archie Vaughan is into his 11th over and Paul Walter defends into the off side.

He's back an across to the third ball, stroking through cover for one to get off the "Nelson" of 111. So he now has 112 to be clear.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:08 BST 25 September

    Foakes c Brown b Abbott 43 (Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 112-4)

A bit of extra heat from Kyle Abbott, Ben Foakes is on his way and this match takes another turn.

That angles in at Foakes and just fails to beat his bat, the edge carrying only just to Ben Brown.

Foakes hestitates, as is his right, and walks as soon as the umpires consult and confirm it carried.

  13. 'Good response from Worcs'published at 16:08 BST 25 September

    Worcs 123 & 162-3 v Sussex 350

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A good response from Worcestershire who despite being relegated are battling away and have significantly reduced the arrears.

Jake Libby has led from the front passing 1,000 runs for the season before becoming the sixth wicket in the match for Jadev Unadkat,

Dan Lategan has again showed a liking for attacking the bowling and whilst he’s at the crease Worcestershire will harbour hopes of a lead and setting Sussex a total to chase tomorrow.

  14. 'Great work from Brown'published at 16:06 BST 25 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 112-3

    Amelia Clark
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It was great work from Ben Brown for the Dom Sibley wicket, really quick reaction.

Sibley will have been mightily frustrated.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:04 BST 25 September

    Zaib c Hull b Holland 62 (Northants 186-8 v Leics 429)

That's the key wicket and this innings could end very soon.

Saif Zaib is forward to Ian Holland and he's drilled that ball to Josh Hull at long off.

    Ben Whitehouse to bat next.

  16. Postpublished at 16:03 BST 25 September

    Essex 185-0 v Somerset 433

Paul Walter drives Archie Vaughan to long off for one and that takes him to 111, which will be of great discomfort to the superstitious.

Dean Elgar keeps the strike with a single down the ground.

    He's on 64.

It feels like a wicket can only come from an error rather than a genuine wicket-taking ball.

  17. Postpublished at 16:00 BST 25 September

    Notts 228-5 v Warwicks 258

It is getting a bit gloomy over a previously sun-kissed Trent Bridge and the floodlights may become a factor shortly.

Rob Yates to continue and Kyle Verreynne carefully blocks down the ground.

He leaves a leg side ball to see out the over.

The innings gap is 30 but the target for Notts to win the Division One Championship (for today at any rate) is 300 within 110 overs.

Ed Barnard rejoins the attack from the other end.

  18. Final session under way at Headingleypublished at 16:00 BST 25 September

    Yorks 198-2 v Durham 346

We have a green light for the evening session as Mayank Agarwal (116) and James Wharton (7) waddle out to the middle.

Will Rhodes will kick off proceedings with the ball as an interesting couple of hours stretches out ahead.

  19. Play resumes at Northamptonpublished at 15:57 BST 25 September

    Northants 182-7 v Leics 429

George Scrimshaw is the new batter and sees out the Liam Trevaskis over.

Trevaskis dismissed George Bartlett with his fifth ball before the break.

Saif Zaib is carrying the innings somewhat and he will face the next over, taking guard to Leicestershire captain Ian Holland.

Zaib has 58 an an innings where no other Northants player has passed 35.
