50 for Albertpublished at 17:31 BST 25 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 196-5

What a debut from the 17-year-old.

Thrown the ball against a well set India international in Washington Sundar he posts figures of 7-2-7-2.

Then with bat in hand Ralphie Albert walks out against a Kyle Abbott with steam coming out of his ears and helps himself to a half century.

Good job for him he can't buy a drink yet.

  2. 50 runs

    50 for Liam Patterson-Whitepublished at 17:30 BST 25 September

    Notts 337-6 v Warwicks 258

Liam Patterson-White reaches a 50 he will surely treasure long after he hangs up his boots in 50 balls with his 10th four, swing over square leg off the bowling of Michael Booth.

He was in the middle with Kyle Verreynne when Notts were confirmed as county champions.

Rob Jones gets a big enough stride forward but Danny Lamb has pinned him and the finger goes up.

The deficit is still 10 runs with five wickets still standing and the writing looks on the wall for Worcs.

    Holland c Broad b Keogh 0 (Northants 189 v Leics 429 & 60-2)

There goes Ian Holland. First ball.

A bit of width from Rob Keogh, a loose drive and he's nicked the ball low to a tumbling Justin Broad at first slip. But he holds on.

Lewis Hill is in at four.

  5. wicket

50 and out for Sol Budinger.

The opener had just reached a 43-ball half century with a six, slog-sweeping Rob Keogh to backward square leg.

But he goes back to the next ball, misses a drive and the ball strikes middle and leg.

Six fours and a six in that brutal onslaught.

Here comes Leicester captain Ian Holland...

    Mayank Agarwal celebrates at Headingley

    It's milestone central at Headingley!

Mayank Agarwal brings up his 150 pulling Matthew Potts for two. It has come in 176 balls.

He then pulls a short ball from the Durham man for six to bring up Yorks 250 and first bowling point.

He then runs three to get to 160 before Matthew Revis gets bonked on the head by a short one from Potts.

Agarwal runs off for a quick comfort break as the over goes for 19 runs.

It's all happening as Yorks trail by 85 runs.

Ethan Bamber follows that with a maiden over at the other end.

Get Involved - 'Great effort by Notts'published at 17:12 BST 25 September

    #bbccricket

Simon: Great effort by Notts to overcome Surrey to become County Championship champions. Delighted to see Haseeb Hameed captaining them as well.

Si: Relegation looking exciting. If Durham take all of their bowling points (ie bowl Yorkshire out) will be level on points with Hants and it will come down to the result. If both get the same result then, it will be down to most wins (currently 2 each).

Sorry Si we don't have space to include your follow-up messages but thanks very much for your calculations - the relegation battle will be a big focus now that the champions have been crowned. It will be exciting and it might need us to get our calculators out!

  13. 'Congratulations to Nottinghamshire'published at 17:06 BST 25 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 173-5

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Congratulations to Nottinghamshire, they thoroughly deserved to win that title because they will end up winning the most games of the season and they also won that pivotal game last week against Surrey.

They've stuck onto Surrey for the whole season. Surrey probably haven't been at their best throughout the season but they've managed to keep themselves in the hunt but that game last week proved to be absolutely pivotal in the season.

  14. 150 runs

150 for Paul Walterpublished at 17:06 BST 25 September

    Essex 253-0 v Somerset 433

Essex reach the 250-mark in the 55th over with a four glanced to fine leg by Paul Walter off the bowling of Craig Overton.

Walter reaches his 150 in just 154 balls with a deflection to mid wicket off Somerset captain Lewis Gregory.

20 fours and three sixes. He's looked close to invincible.

His highest score this season and in his whole career.

  15. Postpublished at 16:59 BST 25 September

    Notts 302-6 v Warwicks 258

That scoring shot brings up a 50 partnership between Kyle Verreynne and Liam Patterson-White.

We're also having a drinks break but no champagne just yet.

  16. 'A magnificent moment in the club's history'published at 16:58 BST 25 September

    Notts 302 -6 v Warwick 258

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Kyle Verreynne pulls it all the way for a huge six and Nottinghamshire are County champions for the first time in 15 years.

Haseeb Hameed and his troops have done it in a magnificent moment in the club's history.

Hameed with his century today has achieved immortality, it's up on the board and Trent Bridge has gone absolutely potty to celebrate the 2025 County champions.

  17. Postpublished at 16:58 BST 25 September

    Hants 248 v Surrey 147 & 162-5

As things stand Yorks have 149 points, Hants 145 and Durham 143.

The two northern counties are locked in an arm wrestle which is currently odds on for a draw which would take Yorks to 157 and 151.

All of which means Hants almost certainly cannot afford to lose.

With Surrey leading by 61 with five wickets remaining things are bubbling up nicely.

Four to Liam Patterson-White, driving down the ground a little loosely but very straight. Nine more for the magic 300!

The third ball is nudged away for one.

Over to Kyle Verreynne on 49...
