WICKETpublished at 14:57 BST 25 September

    Edavalath lbw b Unadkat 45 (Worcs 123 & 113-1 v Sussex 350)

Accurate bowling and a hint of inswing does for Rehaan Edavalath and cuts him down five short of his half century.

  3. Postpublished at 14:56 BST 25 September

    Essex 135-0 v Somerset 433

The umpires are changing the ball, which in fairness has taken a bit of punishment from Paul Walter's numerous boundaries.

    16 of them so far.

Walter is back to Jack Leach, pushing to cover point for one, taking him to 86 off 87 balls.

Single to Dean Elgar, pushing to long on.

Shot! A checked straight drive sends the ball soaring over Leach and Lewis Gregory for four. Walter is on 90.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:52 BST 25 September

    Lyth c Potts b Ghafari 69 (Yorks 136-2 v Durham 346)

No birthday century for Adam Lyth and it ends in a slightly unlucky manner.

Shafiq Ghafari draws Lyth forward into a defensive block, finds the edge and Ollie Robinson's hasty grab sends the ball spiralling up.

Matthew Potts at slip picks up the pieces with a simple catch.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:51 BST 25 September

Jones lbw ul Hassan 62 (Glamorgan 265 v Lancashire 293-5)

Michael Jones raced to a 42-ball half-century before being trapped lbw by Zain ul Hassan.

Thanks to his quickfire runs Lancashire have now raced in front and lead by 28 runs.

  6. Postpublished at 14:51 BST 25 September

    Notts 187-4 v Warwicks 258

Kyle Verreynne waits for Ethan Bamber and clips the ball to mid wicket. No run this time.

He cuts a short ball to point but again there's no run.

to wrap up the Championship title today, Notts need another 113 runs in 53 overs. 57 bowled so far.

(300 in 110 overs would be enough to win.)

  7. dropped catch

Libby dropped on 66published at 14:51 BST 25 September

    Worcs 123 & 108-0 v Sussex 350

Let off for Jake Libby as Jaydev Unadkat finds the edge and it goes down in the slip cordon.

It carried at a nice height but crucially split first and second slip. James Coles at second went across in front of Jack Carson at first but spills it.

Big miss for Sussex who have struggled to make any inroads into Worcs second innings.

Jake Libby (66) and Rehaan Edavalathn (44) have smothered expectations that this match could have been over on day two.

  8. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 25 September

    Essex 127-0 v Somerset 433

Jack Leach is into his third over and opener Dean Elgar defends down the pitch.

The last ball is pushed down the ground for one.

Elgar has a patient 37 off 81 and Paul Walter is on 84 off 82.

A wicket feels a long way off for Somerset.

  9. MIDDLESEX DECLARE ON 634-9published at 14:45 BST 25 September

    Middlesex 634-9 dec v Glos

The wicket of Toby Roland-Jones brings about the declaration from Middlesex as skipper Leus du Plooy finishes unbeaten on 263.

    A magnificent knock.

There were also half-centuries for Luke Hollman, Ben Geddes, Joe Cracknell, and Seb Morgan in Middlesex's big total.

Ajeet Singh Dale took five wickets, with Graeme van Buuren and Ollie Price grabbing two apiece.

  10. 100 runs

100 for Haseeb Hameedpublished at 14:44 BST 25 September

    Notts 183-4 v Warwicks 258

Haseeb Hameed drops a ball from Ethan Bamber into the off side and runs, just beating the return throw on the dive.

He's on the deck, ruffled but unbeaten.

His century arrives in 181 balls with 15 fours.

Notts team mates and supporters can breathe again.

His fourth century of the season

  11. 'Walter is running riot'published at 14:41 BST 25 September

    Essex 122-0 v Somerset 433

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Paul Walter is running riot at the moment. Essex are going at nearly five runs an over on this beautiful sunny September afternoon.

Somerset, at the moment have no answer to the adroitness of Dean Elgar and the power of Walter.

  12. DERBYSHIRE DECLARE ON 698-6published at 14:40 BST 25 September

    Kent v Derbyshire 698-6 dec

698 is the magic number - for some reason.

It would have been nice to get to 700 wouldn't it? Maybe that's just me.

Anuj Dal finished unbeaten on 52 and Amrit Basra on 16 from nine balls.

Derbyshire's biggest scorers in what is a very big score were Luis Reece who struck 211 and Wayne Madsen who made 198.

There are also some rather large numbers in Kent's bowling figures. Matt Parkinson took 3-188 in his 38 overs, while Mikey Cohen and Joey Evison also conceded more than 100 runs.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:38 BST 25 September

    Broad c Cox b Van Beek 6 (Northants 123-5 v Leics 429)

Justin Broad leans back in surprise at extra bounce from Logan van Beek but he doesn't withdraw his bat in time and an edge goes through to the keeper.

Stuart van der Mewrwe (on first class debut) to bat next.

  14. 'There's another one'published at 14:37 BST 25 September

    Notts 179-4 v Warwicks 258

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

There's another one. It's two in the over and Jack Haynes throws his head back, he has to go.

Bears celebrate another wicket and Notts have suddenly found themselves going from 179-2 to 179-4.

  15. wicket

Two wickets in the over for Ethan Bamber!

Jack Haynes comes and goes in two balls.

    He's forward to defend.

Has he got an inside edge through to the keeper?

The umpire says yes. Kyle Verreynne is in.

  16. Close!published at 14:34 BST 25 September

    Yorks 115-1 v Durham 346

Big appeal for a catch behind as Adam Lyth, on 50, misses outside off stump.

Ben Raine did not look back at umpire Steve O'Shaughnessy as the slip cordon rose in unison, running through to join the slips celebrations.

When he did it was with a look of resignation as the official stared back unmoved.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Anuj Dalpublished at 14:33 BST 25 September

    Kent v Derbyshire 691-6

Anuj Dal reaches 50 from 49 balls in 71 minutes.

Martin Andersson departed a short time ago - he made 85 and hit three sixes.

Derbyshire approaching 700 - how many do they want?

This is the third-highest score in their history.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:31 BST 25 September

    Clarke c Davies b Bamber 52 (Notts 179-3 v Warwicks 258)

Ethan Bamber draws Joe Clarke into a waft shuffling across the stumps and that's an easy catch for Alex Davies with the gauntlets.

Jack Haynes is in the middle now.

  19. 6 runs

Zaib punishes Trevaskispublished at 14:30 BST 25 September

    Northants 108-4 v Leics 429

Full of confidence, Saif Zaib is down the track to spinner Liam Trevaskis, lofting the ball down the ground for six runs.

Well, he has scored more than 1300 first class runs this season. Plenty to be confident about.

  20. Birthday 50 for Adam Lythpublished at 14:27 BST 25 September

    Yorkshire 113-1 v Durham 346 - Yorks trail by 233

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Adam Lyth has been a thorn in the Durham side over the years and is doing very Adam Lythy things again to them today.

He's now reached 50 against them for the 10th time in FC cricket. It's now six half centuries and four centuries.

And on the basis of what we are seeing here he would appear to have many more runs in the tank, despite reaching the age of 38 today.

He's also put on a stand of 93 so far with Indian batsman Mayank Agarwal, who is batting with a bandaged arm following a blow off a Ben Raine delivery earlier.

The physio has been on to treat him three times and supply pain killers. Agarwal has 52 and Lyth 57.
