  1. Pak 68-6published at 20 overs

    Target 222

One area where Pakistan are not managing to get anywhere close to Australia is with the running between the wickets.

A Rameen Shamim sweep goes into a big gap behind square but what initially looks like a comfortable two ends up being just a single.

Pakistan can't afford to be missing out on runs like that.

Pakistan will take the runs however they come at this point.

  3. Pak 66-6published at 19 overs

    Target 222

Four leg byes are a nice boost for Pakistan to start the over but it ends with another slower ball ball that pops from a length.

Superbly bowled by Annabel Sutherland but no damage done for Pakistan this time.

  4. Pak 60-6published at 18 overs

    Target 222

Ash Gardner's hand has been cleaned up and she's ready to go again.

She rattles through the rest of the over with just a couple of runs coming from it.

Much like Australia in their innings, Pakistan have managed to at least slow the bowling side's wicket-taking momentum for now.

Whether they can keep it going and show the same acceleration Australia did late on remains to be seen.

  5. Pak 58-6published at 17.1 overs

    Target 222

Ash Gardner into the attack and the off-spinner almost strikes first ball.

A leading edge from Sidra Amin loops back towards her, the Australia all-rounder dives forward but can't quite get to it.

To make matters worse, Gardner has scraped her hand along the ground and cut her hand so we'll have a brief delay.

  6. Pak 58-6published at 17 overs

    Target 222

Superb back-of-the-hand slower ball from Annabel Sutherland that really kicks up and raps Rameen Shamim on the gloves.

A wide first ball is the only run of the over.

  8. Pak 57-6published at 16 overs

    Target 222

Alana King is getting plenty of turn but hasn't been landing it in the right areas quite as consistently as she'd like so far.

Pakistan only take two from the over but we saw from Australia's innings that slow but steady progress is a good way to go on this surface.

  9. Pak 55-6published at 15 overs

    Target 222

Big appeal for lbw from Annabel Sutherland as Sidra Amin walks across her stumps and is hit on the front pad.

It looks a good shout but the umpire says 'not out' and Australia decide against a review. Ball-tracking shows it was very close but just clipping leg stump - umpire's call - so it wouldn't have been overturned anyway.

I was ready for a really good game with Australia at 78-7 but then they found some batting form and Pakistan have completely lost theirs. Really disappointing.

    Target 222

She's not in control but it's four more for Sidra Amin.

The Pakistan number three is rewarded for trying to be positive against Alana King, getting down and attempting a big sweep.

It comes off the top edge and loops over Alyssa Healy's head before bobbling away to the boundary.

  12. Pak 49-6published at 13 overs

    Target 222

Rameen Shamim is the new batter for Pakistan and sees off the last couple of balls in the Annabel Sutherland over.

The left-hander looks a little uncomfortable against a short-ish ball from Sutherland which doesn't do anything to lessen the feeling that Australia could wrap this up very quickly.

More swing in WinViz today than an Anya Shrubsole in-ducker.

Drinks are being taken but it feels like there isn't much time left in this one...

It's disappointing. Sidra Amin and Fatima Sana were getting going and building a partnership. A poor wicket to lose for Pakistan.

    Dragged on!

Annabel Sutherland strikes in her first over to break a partnership that was beginning to show some promise.

Fatima Sana goes back and tries to punch a back-of-a-length delivery through the off side but gets a thick inside edge onto her stumps.

We saw Alana King in the Ashes earlier this year rip up England's batting. She is very capable.

  17. Pak 48-5published at 12 overs

    Target 222

Loose. Short and wide from Alana King and Fatima Sana cuts firmly behind point for four.

Doesn't matter how much it's turning if you drag it down that much.

Another beauty follows to beat the edge but King strays onto leg to end the over and Sana nails a sweep shot behind square for another boundary.

  18. Pak 40-5published at 11.2 overs

    Target 222

OK, two balls into Alana King's spell and you have to fear for Pakistan.

Big turn and some bounce as well with an absolute ripper pitching on leg and beating Fatima Sana's outside edge.

  19. Pak 39-5published at 11 overs

    Target 222

Excellent fielding at long leg from Megan Schutt to pluck the ball one-handed on the run as Sidra Amin's pull shot looked to be boundary over the cushion for four.

It came off the top-edge so Amin will probably be happy with a single given it could so easily have gone to hand.

Time for some leg-spin. Here comes Alana King...

  20. Pak 37-5published at 10 overs

    Target 222

Sidra Amin is still there for Pakistan but she is going to need some help.

The Pakistan number three adds her third boundary, albeit in slightly fortuitous style as a thick outside edges beats gully and races away.
