Just a little short from Schutt and Amin pounced on the ball to get four.

Woooft. Two boundaries for Sidra Amin, the second of which is a dismissive pull through mid-wicket. It's off the great Megan Schutt too who does not look overly pleased.

Knight and Moody are women's cricket's Stokes and Root. Stepping up when their teams need it most. Even so, these collapses must be alarming for Australia and England. When we play each other, it will come down to who blinks first, I reckon. Both have the quality to go all the way, but with other teams making a good go of it, nothing is guaranteed, which is good for the game's appeal.

That wicket brings in Sidra Amin - Pakistan's best batter. She scored 81 against India on Sunday.

Not the start that Pakistan would have wanted. Garth didn't look to thrilled but the Aussies looked happy for her.

There's a spike. It's the inside edge, almost the back, of Sadaf Shamas' bat. Australia have their first wicket.

Alyssa Healy is convinced there's a nick here. She has to halt her celebrations to call for the review.

  8. Pak 6-0published at 2 overs

Edged in the gap! Sadaf Shamas gets away with this as the balls zips between wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy and the first slip she has in place. It wasn't really a chance for either of them. Right in the gap.

  9. Pak 1-0published at 1 over

    Target 222

As we mentioned earlier, Pakistan's bowling is their strength. Their batting has struggled for a while.

Muneeba Ali plays out five dots at the end of the over.

The result is Pakistan now face a hugely difficult task. Australia were on the ropes but now Kim Garth starts off the chase with Australia sitting pretty.

And a word for Alana King. Her 51 not out her first international fifty and the highest score at 10 or lower in women's ODIs. She put on 106 from 97 balls with Mooney and hit three sixes of her own...

Good to see Beth going so well. She was in the Netherlands years ago where I coaxed her into playing for our men’s social side. As she said she was a batter I put her on to bowl so as not to upset the oppo too much. 2 overs and three wickets later I had to take her off…

But what more can we say about Beth Mooney?

She scored 109 of her side's 221, dragging her team from a position of real jeopardy to one of strength. She played late, knocked singles (44 of them in total) and then struck a flurry of boundaries at the end as she went to three figures.

It turned into one of the great World Cup knocks.

After the first three wickets fell, Pakistan's spinners Rameen Shamim and Nashra Sandhu really took hold. The pitch offered significant turn and Aussie batters just kept pushing with hard hands and chipping catches...

Pakistan were so good for so long. Australia actually made a steady start before their collapse of seven wickets for 46 runs.

They went from 30-0 to 76-7. It started with the dismissals of the big top three Alyssa Perry, Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry.

  16. 'We will just stay in the crease and chase it'published at 14:16 BST 8 October

Pakistan spinner Nashra Sandhu: "My plan was simple: just bowl in the pitch but luckily I got wickets, so I just bowled like this.

"My favourite was the big spinning one because I knew she was using her feet."

On Sidra Nawaz: "She was brilliant even at the end, when the ball was bouncing she was up to the stumps.

"We leaked some runs in the last overs and the wicket was getting better in the last overs, so we will try and chase it.

"We will just stay in the chase."

Right, time for me to take a quick break.

This game has moved on a lot since Matthew Henry was last in the chair but he's back to take you through the start of the chase.

Pakistan performed very well when he was last on so perhaps he's their good luck charm?

  19. Pakistan need 222 to winpublished at 14:08 BST 8 October

These things change quickly but I can't remember the last time I saw things change so drastically in the space of half an innings.

Pakistan were given a 91% chance of victory by WinViz shortly after taking the seventh wicket but that is down to 14% at the halfway stage.

Australia are so good that even if they'd be nine down with 70-odd on the board, you'd have backed them to find a way out of trouble...

Mooney has been the back bone of this innings. She has shown people how to bat on a turning wicket.
