Caught in the covers off the last ball but what an innings from Beth Mooney.

Australia were in serious trouble at 76-7 but Mooney used all of her experience, kept her composure and guided her side to a total that they'll be confident of defending.

Pakistan can be proud of how they started but they will be frustrated by the way in which they let such a good position slip.

  2. Aus 221-8published at 49.5 overs

Beth Mooney hammers a pull shot in front of square for four more as the late Australia onslaught continues.

Then gives herself room to cut the next ball through point for four more.

Superb from Australia. The partnership between Mooney and Alana King for the ninth wicket is up to 106 with a ball left in the innings.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Alana Kingpublished at 49.2 overs

    Aus 212-8

Six more and that's fifty for Alana King!

This pulled is pulled behind square and just carries over the rope to take the Australia number 10 to a 48-ball half-century - a first in international cricket for King.

Not many (any?) other sides in the women's game have a batter capable of doing this coming in at 10...

  4. 6 runs

    Aus 206-8published at 49.1 overs

    Alana King goes big again!

In the slot from Fatima Sana and King swings it high over cow corner for six - that cleared the ropes by a long way.

  6. 200 runs

    Aus 200-8published at 49 overs

    Mooney 101, King 38

No more boundaries in the over but Australia are up to 200 as Alana King hits out to deep mid-wicket for a single.

This has not gone to plan for Pakistan since reducing Australia to 76-7.

  7. 6 runs

    Aus 197-8published at 48.3 overs

Yep, here come the big shots!

Banged in short by Diana Baig and Alana King swings the ball away over the leg side for the first maximum of the day.

Short again and this one is flayed away for four by King.

I'd maybe give up on the short ball play, Diana...

Unbelievable innings. It's been a boring innings but a successful one in terms of she has just taken the easy options.

  9. Aus 187-8published at 48 overs

Two overs to go and after singles from every ball of that Fatima Sana over, Australia might try for the big finish now.

  10. 100 runs

100 for Beth Mooneypublished at 47.5 overs

    Aus 186-8

That's the century for Beth Mooney!

What a knock from the Australia left-hander. She has taken her side out of trouble and into a position from which they will be huge favourites.

A fifth ODI hundred and it comes up from 110 balls. Calm and composed throughout.

  11. Aus 181-8published at 47 overs

Beth Mooney clips the ball leg side and more good running means she gets back for three.

That takes her to 97 and Alana King pushes two from the last ball of the over so Mooney will be on strike with a fifth ODI century within touching distance.

  12. Aus 176-8published at 46.2 overs

Angling down leg from Diana Baig and Beth Mooney whips the ball through backward square leg for four.

Four more! Over-adjustment from Baig - this one is wide of off and Mooney carves it away through backward point on the cut.

The partnership is now up to 61...

  13. Aus 168-8published at 46 overs

Lovely bowling from Sadia Iqbal but it is not great news for Pakistan, as they look ahead to the chase, that a couple of balls popped up off a length in that over.

It doesn't matter if you bowl floaty half-volleys, though. A 'hit me' ball and Alana King drives crisply through the covers for four.

    Missing leg.

It looked that way on first viewing and ball-tracking confirms as much.

Beth Mooney, on 85, gets a reprieve.

  16. Australia reviewpublished at 45.3 overs

    Aus 163-8

Beth Mooney has been given out lbw off Sadia Iqbal but she reviews immediately.

    Is it doing too much?

  17. Aus 162-8published at 45 overs

Beth Mooney has batted brilliantly and is closing in on a vital century for Australia.

But even she can do nothing with the first ball of Diana Baig's over. Round the wicket, swinging in to the left-hander then nipping away a touch off the seam to beat the bat. Jaffa.

Four from the over and just five overs left in the innings. It didn't look like we'd get this far when Australia were 76-7.

  18. Aus 158-8published at 44 overs

Given Australia have already passed 150, that doesn't sound like good news for Pakistan, Fran...

That Sadia Iqbal manages to get a couple to really turn and bounce is suddenly not great news for them either.

We think anything above 150-plus will make it a difficult run chase.

  20. Aus 155-8published at 43 overs

    Top shot!

Overpitched from Diana Baig and Beth Mooney drills the ball through the overs for four.

Australia are past 150 and will now have eyes on getting somewhere close to 200 - and WinViz has them as big favourites.

Pakistan at 91% feels a long time ago now.
