  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:26 British Summer Time 19 April

    Seales c Burns b Worrall 3 (Sussex 435 v Surrey)

Short ball and Jayden Seales could not resist it slapping a straightforward catch to Rory Burns at midwicket.

Surrey have done well today, taking eight wickets for 208 runs on a pitch that offered very little indeed.

Dan Worrall, who put in a shift, has been rewarded with two late wickets for all that his reaction was less than celebratory.

Gus Atkinson, on his first red ball start of the summer, takes 4-120.

  2. 'Booth has been very consistent'published at 17:22 British Summer Time 19 April

    Warwickshire 93 v Nottinghamshire 113-3

    Grace Ballinger
The Blaze bowler on BBC Radio Nottingham

Michael Booth has been very consistent, he's found some good line and lengths but Joe Clarke has to go cheaply.

It was a pretty regulation slip catch from Sam Hain.

  3. Postpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 19 April

    Sussex 433-9 v Surrey

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

This has not quite worked out for Danny Lamb any of this. Poor fella is still having to do a job.

  4. 100 runs

for Comptonpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time 19 April

    Kent 247-6 v Gloucestershire 472

Kent opener Ben Compton makes it back-to-back centuries in the County Championship.

The left-hander is holding this Kent innings together.

They're still 225 behind but he's found a good ally in Grant Stewart who's unbeaten on 30.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 19 April

    Clarke c Hain b Booth 4 (Warwickshire 93 v Nottinghamshire 109-3)

The stand between Notts' red-ball and white-ball skippers hasn't lasted long.

Joe Clarke goes at one from Michael Booth outside the off stump and edges it straight into the safe hands of Sam Hain at third slip.

The Bears have a bowling point.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hudson-Prentice c Sibley b Worrall 41 (Sussex 431-9 v Surrey)

Straight down the throat of long on... and Dan Worrall has his reward for nearly 27 overs of slog.

Sussex's innings seems close to an end now and Fynn Hudson-Prentice, with a mistimed drive down the ground has hastened it.

  7. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 19 April

    Essex 179 & 158-5 v Worcestershire 202

Paul Walter battingImage source, Rex Features

Essex continue to accumulate steadily in the increasingly watery sunshine.

Paul Walter has helped himself to another boundary as Tom Taylor strays too much down the leg-side.

Noah Thain, with 11 from 43 balls, is offering just the right kind of obdurate support for Walter who must be seeing it like a watermelon.

Walter has 79, the lead is 135.

  8. 'Walter's height has been useful'published at 17:13 British Summer Time 19 April

    Essex 179 & 157-5 v Worcestershire 202

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Paul Walter's height has been a useful tool in his bag because just occasionally he's been able to ride that bounce in a way that probably nobody else has and probably why he's made the biggest score of the game and it becomes a crucial knock.

  9. Postpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 19 April

    Sussex 429-8 v Surrey

A combination of frustration and commitment from Dan Worrall as he gets another to lift sharply at Danny Lamb, the batsman swaying out of the way as it flies past his nose.

Credit to the bowler who is still charging in with venom despite 26 overs without reward. But credit is also due to the Sussex all-rounder who is wincing every now and then from his shoulder injury but has moved on to 12.

  10. 'It's all sort of ground to a halt'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 19 April

    Sussex 425-8 v Surrey

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

At the moment it's all sort of ground to a halt this.

Of the two sides Surrey won't mind that too much

  11. Lancashire all outpublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 19 April

    Lancashire 263 v Leicestershire

Tom Scriven holds the ballImage source, Rex Features

Lancashire have lost their last four wickets for 21 runs and might feel they're a little under par.

Leicestershire seamer Tom Scriven finishes with a career-best 5-46.

The visitors have done well to fight back with the ball after Lancashire were 184-4.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 19 April

    McCann c Smith b Fernando 14 (Warwickshire 93 v Nottinghamshire 102-2)

Vishwa Fernando gets one to lift off a length a touch and it flicks the outside edge of Freddie McCann's bat through to Kai Smith.

McCann did his best to get his bat out of the road but he wasn't fast enough.

    Very good delivery from Fernando.

  13. 'Gay needed that'published at 17:02 British Summer Time 19 April

Durham 264-1 v Yorkshire 307 - bad light stopped play

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Emilio Gay has joined Alex Lees in reaching three figures for Durham today. And how he needed that because he's already had three ducks in four innings this season.

His century came in 163 balls and included 12x4s, but just moments after getting there the players left the field once again because of bad light.

It's certainly been Durham's day though. The Yorkshire bowling looks blunt and the only wicket to fall today came at the end of the sixth over.

Lees will resume, at some point, on 148 and his partnership with Gay is 242 runs from 346 balls.

  14. 100 for Nottspublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 19 April

    Warwickshire 93 v Nottinghamshire 102-1

A tidy over from Michael Booth that very nearly brings a reward with his final delivery.

Freddie McCann reaches for it a touch and gets a thick inside edge to his drive and it deflects back on to his pad, perilously close to playing on.

Booth leads the Warwickshire hands-on-head moment.

Next over from Vishwa Fernando, McCann drives perfectly square through backward point for four to bring the Notts ton up.

    Nicely done.

  15. 'I wouldn't lose all hope'published at 17:01 British Summer Time 19 April

Durham 264-1 v Yorks 307 - bad light stopped play

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

You wouldn't say this is the end of the day especially with 31 overs to play.

If it does brighten up again then I'm sure we'll come back out so I wouldn't lose all hope.

  16. Bad light stops playpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 19 April

    Durham 264-1 v Yorks 307

And the gloom has descended enough for the umpires to call temporary time on proceedings.

  17. 100 runs

100 for Gaypublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 19 April

    Durham 263-1 v Yorks 307

Emilio Gay celebrates centuryImage source, Getty Images

A debut Durham century for Emilio Gay who took 163 deliveries and struck 12 fours, the final one of them a neatly clipped leg side effort off Dom Bess which brings up the milestone.

  18. Postpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 19 April

    Essex 179 & 141-5 v Worcestershire 202

Massive session in the lengthening shadows in Chelmsford.

Essex's lead is 118 with five wickets left. Crucially Paul Walter is still in on 70 and Worcestershire know getting rid of the tall leftie will really open this game back up for them.

They'll fancy chasing anything under 200.

Ben Allison and Tom Taylor have given nothing away post tea making Walter and Noah Thain pretty much play everything.

  19. 'Extraordinary day for Notts'published at 16:51 British Summer Time 19 April

    Warwickshire 93 v Nottinghamshire 93-1

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

It's extraordinary the way the day has gone for Nottinghamshire.

I don't think the bowling has been as accurate to be fair up to this point. I think the overhead conditions, although they are clouding over again but certainly before tea it was quiet pleasant.

  20. Division Two latestpublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 19 April

Tom Scriven celebrates wicketImage source, Rex Features

Leicestershire paceman Tom Scriven now has four wickets at Old Trafford. Scriven has removed Luke Wells and George Balderson in consecutive overs to leave Lancashire 249-8.

Derbyshire have removed Northants opener Ricardo Vasconcelos for 82, Blair Tickner with the wicket, but Northants are still in control on 148-1.

Kent are in a bit of trouble against Gloucestershire. Harry Finch has just fallen for 44 and Kent are 198-6, still trailing by 274.

Middlesex are building a sizeable lead against Glamorgan. They're 275-4 and 76 in front.
