  1. 50 runs

for Leespublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 19 April

    Durham 65-1 v Yorks 307

Alex Lees brings up the 24th first-class half-century of his Durham career as the hosts continue a fine start to their reply.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 19 April

    Barnard c McCann b O'Neill 5 (Warwickshire 77-5 v Nottinghamshire)

    Ed Barnard is livid!

Fergus O'Neill pushes out a tempter and Barnard falls for it. It's a huge drive and a thick edge that flies to Freddie McCann at second slip who hangs on well.

Barnard swishes his bat in anger as he spins away to walk off.

  3. wicket

    Brookes c Walter b Thain 24 (Essex 179 v Worcestershire 188-8)

Noah Thain celebrates taking wicketImage source, Rex Features

Ethan Brookes goes. It's a bit of a dangle outside off stump. Catching practice really for Paul Walter at first slip.

Noah Thain picks him up. But it's a valuable knock of 24.

Heading for a one-innings match here.

  4. 'The weather is improving all the time'published at 12:44 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hampshire v Somerset 147-9

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

I'm glad to be able to say that the weather is improving all the time. There's a lot of blue sky now away to the east which I think is the direction which the weather is coming from.

So it could turn out to be a very pleasant afternoon.

  5. Worcestershire in the leadpublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 19 April

    Essex 179 v Worcestershire 183-7

At 22-4, a lead for Worcestershire looked as far away as planet K2-18b but thanks to an impish knock so far from Ethan Brookes, they have their noses in front.

The all-rounder has cracked four boundaries on his way to 23 off 29 balls after good work this morning from Matthew Waite following the loss of Hose and D'Oliveira.

Essex still have the catchers up too - they know they have to get this done asap.

  6. Crawley out cheaplypublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 19 April

    Division Two latest

Zak Crawley outImage source, Rex Features

England opener Zak Crawley's indifferent start to the season for Kent has continued.

He's just been dismissed for a single by Gloucestershire seamer Tom Price to leave Kent 20-1.

    Crawley has scores of 1, 31, 0, 58 and 1 this season.

Middlesex opener Nathan Fernandes has passed fifty at Lord's. The hosts are 115-1 against Glamorgan and trail by just 84.

Leicestershire have removed Lancashire batter Matty Hurst for 46 but Marcus Harris is going along nicely on 49. Lancashire are 130-4.

Justin Broad has just picked up his fourth wicket for Northants at Derbyshire - they're 272-8.

  7. Old Worcestershire mates going at itpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 19 April

    Warwickshire 68-4 v Nottinghamshire

Josh Tongue is steaming in to his old Pears colleague Ed Barnard.

But he's served up a gimme to get Barnard off the mark - a full-bunger outside off stump that Barnard steers to the boundary.

The next two are predictably short but well wide of off stump and Barnard sways out the road.

Barnard's been brilliant for the Bears since his move from New Road two seasons ago and this is a key stand with Mr Bears Sam Hain.

  8. 'It's very evenly poised'published at 12:35 British Summer Time 19 April

    Essex 179 v Worcestershire 170-7

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

    It's nip and tuck.

It's a disappointing end to a really good Matthew Waite innings but actually decent bit of bowling from Jamie Porter I think just to mix it up a little bit.

I'd say it's very evenly poised. It's not going to be a draw this game I think, that's for certain.

  9. 'Pitch should get better for batters'published at 12:27 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hants v Somerset 137-9

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

The Utilita Bowl playing area has been subjected to persistent rain yesterday afternoon and overnight.

The full covers were on from yesterday lunchtime.

It means the playing surface retained its green tinge from yesterday.

Sunny spells are forecast for today. That means the pitch should get better later for the batters.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 19 April

    Leach lbw b Fuller 20 (Hampshire v Somerset 136-9)

Not much doubt about that... tracking as if it was grazing the outside edge of off stump but came back in to Jack Leach and would have hit middle.

Somerset are one wicket away from completing a miserable batting effort but credit to Hampshire's bowling attack.

Fuller has been just about the pick of them with 4-22 but huge credit is due to Brad Wheal (3-37) and Kyle Abbott (2-38) as well.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 19 April

    Waite c Fernandes b Porter 32 (Essex 179 v Worcestershire 160-7)

After a composed knock Matthew Waite has got the tennis racket out.

It's short from James Porter and balloons up and Waite goes to aim a high forehand smash through point but only thins it through to Simon Fernandes behind the stumps and the debutant takes a simple catch.

Shame for Worcestershire. Delight and relief for Essex.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 19 April

    Mousley b O'Neill 0 (Warwickshire 61-4 v Nottinghamshire)

Fergus O'Neill has cleaned up Dan Mousley for a six-ball duck.

    It's a beauty too.

Touch of in-swing, Mousley gets the drive out and goes down the Jubilee line.

The ball goes down the Piccadilly and removes the left-hander's off stump.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 19 April

    Alsop c Worrall b Fisher 63 (Sussex 282-3 v Surrey)

A third-wicket partnership of 180 is brought to an end by Matt Fisher as Tom Alsop holes out at deep square leg.

Either that held up a little on the pitch or Alsop's eyes lit up a little too brightly as he looked to hoist that into the flats over deep square leg.

He failed to time it right though and picked out Dan Worrall who barely had to move and took a comfortable catch a few yards inside the rope.

An excellent partnership from the two Toms (Haines remains out there on 120) which has put Sussex in a superb position just short of a second batting bonus point.

  14. 'There's a craftsman at work here'published at 12:14 British Summer Time 19 April

    Warwickshire 60-3 v Nottinghamshire

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

What a delivery that was from Brett Hutton, Hamza Shaikh was beaten all over the place by that.

There's a craftsman at work here in Hutton.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 19 April

    Abell lbw b Fuller 21 (Hampshire v Somerset 129-8)

The end looks nigh for Somerset with Tom Abell pinned bang in front by James Fuller who takes his third wicket.

With due respect to Alife Ogborne, just Migael Pretorius and Jack Leach (18*) to add to what is a miserable Somerset total and one which sees them fighting a rearguard early on day two.

  16. Division Two latestpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 19 April

Kent's bowlers have just suffered an onslaught from Gloucestershire's last-wicket pair of James Bracey and Marchant de Lange.

Number 11 De Lange smashed 51 off 27 balls before he was last man out. Gloucestershire have made 472 in their first innings with Bracey unbeaten on 151.

Elsewhere, Lancashire have started well against Leicestershire - they've moved from 61-3 to 100-3.

Northants are chipping away at Derbyshire. The hosts are 255-6 in Derby and have lost a couple of wickets this morning.

Middlesex are well on top against Glamorgan. They're 95-1 at Lord's, replying to Glamorgan's first-innings 199 all out.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 19 April

    Shaikh b Hutton 22 (Warwickshire 60-3 v Nottinghamshire)

    Off stump gone.

That was about as unplayable as it gets from Brett Hutton.

Angled slightly in and it straightens off the seam - just enough to square Hamza Shaikh up a fraction - and pluck out the off pole.

How do you play that? That's right, from the other end.

  18. Waite counter attacking for Worcestershirepublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 19 April

    Essex 179 v Worcestershire 150-6

Matthew Waite has been such a good pick-up for Worcestershire in all departments of the game and after an excellent showing with the ball, he's now showing his value with the bat.

Nothing extravagant. But very dangerous. He's just cuffed Kasun Rajitha - who's been superb this morning - for three fours in an over with plenty of bottom hand, to help bring up the 150.

With Waite in, the Pears will fancy a first-innings lead.

  19. 'Worcestershire have to start again'published at 12:00 British Summer Time 19 April

    Essex 179 v Worcestershire 132-6

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Hereford & Worcestershire

So Kasun Rajitha removing both Adam Hose and Brett D'Oliveira, both of whom were on 48. They had managed to put together the first 100 partnership of the game.

Now Worcestershire find themselves six down with two new batters at the crease having to start again and it's not easy to start on this pitch.

  20. 50 runs

Postpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 19 April

    Warwickshire 50-2 v Nottinghamshire

Brett Hutton thinks he's picked up Hamza Shaikh with another gem that shapes in to the right-hander late.

There might well be a noise on the way through to Kyle Verreynne but it's not the inside edge Notts are after. If it's pad then clearly it was going over.

Shaikh rubs it in shortly after with a nice punch through mid-on to bring up the Bears 50.
